The quality if everything on offer is pure luxury. We go here to relax and prepare for a busy year ahead. The nature retreat is calming and I love the car, bike and boat displays.

Stayed in 2 rooms for 6 nights - Eco room and a hot tub room 4-10th January. Around R8000/night for both via booking.com. Overall a beautiful setting, but the place needs more attention to detail as they are a 5 star hotel - hot water issues on the first night required intervention (probaboly a geyser exchange) which was obviously long standing and should have been addressed without us having to point that out. Long standing corrostion of sliding door latch allowed a baboon to ransack room 28 - the lock when then changed - again, this was likely not the first incursion by this baboon! Breakfast was medicore, unimaginative and repetitive. Poached eggs when ordered soft usually arrived as one soft and one "hard boiled" - again - not a major issue, but this is 5 star hotel and one expects more. Labels at breakfast buffet showed sunflower seeds (labelled as pine nuts) and mixed nuts as almonds - again - 5 star expectations. The "activity board" at the entrance is completed daily with the same uninspired drivel which is a spa treatment and lunch at Zachary's and Noah's bar - Seriously - this is simple to address! Lastly - a fee is now charged to transport to Noetzie at R115pp return - when we visited many years ago (Conrad Pezula) this was included. All this said, the staff were friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful.
