Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort

Stayed for 6 nights in March with my wife and was blown away by the hotel. Stunning grounds with an amazing pool situated right next to the beach and a short walk to the lively Fisherman's village. Big shout out to Sandy for the beautiful room upgrade it made our holiday and the wonderful lady that looked after our room it was spotless all the time !! I'm not surprised they decided to use the Anatara for the White Lotus the hotel is a unique property. Buffet breakfast is excellent as is the food around the pool. If i had one wish please move the swim up bar to the middle of the pool as its current location is wasted but will definitely return regardless.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, all of the staff in the hotel make this stay exceptional. All of the staff are so helpful, polite and friendly. They are very knowledgeable of both the area and the hotel, always happy to help. The hotel location is perfect, everything you could want is within walking distance, Fisherman's Village had an abundance of bars and restaurants and a market 5 times a week. The hotel grounds, pool and beach area are immaculate, with stunning views. We stayed on Floor 3 and had a garden view. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, probably the best I've had in a Thai hotel. Room was well stocked with a mini bar and free water, replenished every day. Everything you could want was provided, from bathroom essentials to beach bag, they really have thought of everything. Personally, I was not keen on the swing glass shower/toilet door, found it annoying and clumsy. Loved the balcony seating area. The air con was quite loud and the birds singing early in the morning - of course I realise you can't stop the birds singing, but would recommend bringing ear plugs for a lie in! The breakfast buffet was amazing, with Western and Eastern food, juices, smoothies, baked goods, salads....the list is endless. It really is a superb selection. We didn't eat in the hotel but it was available, the pool bar had a daily 'happy hour' from 5pm-7pm with BOGOF drinks. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the beach with big umbrellas and towels. A few points that I believe would improve this hotel are supplying refillable water bottles and cushioned sunbeds. This was our second visit and would not hesitate to return, the personal touches throughout our stay were much appreciated and a lovely touch.

Great atmosphere for a lovely couple to get a full recharge. Many good photo-shooting spots at the hotel.

We really enjoy staying at this resort! We came here for a friend’s wedding and this resort really took care of us when it comes to transportation, accommodation, communication, and reservations. Overall, they made our experience very efficient and convenient because whenever we need a ride to a location, they are able to help schedule that as well as make reservation for our big group like the Jungle Club at the last minute. Also, they schedule our transportation from into the airport during our stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful so I never really struggle getting around the island. I would also recommend their spa. We did a couple massage at the resort and it was one of the best experiences for me. Would definitely stay again!

The whole experience was brilliant. From the moment we walked in, to the day we left for home, we couldn’t fault anything about the resort. We initially stayed in a junior garden suite which was great. Every evening we were left little gifts when they did the turndown service. The room was immaculate and the HUGE bed was so comfortable. The grounds are continually being tended to, and very impressive. All staff are exceptionally friendly and this seems to come naturally to them all, not something they have been instructed to do, We left for a couple of days for a trip and on our return we had been upgraded to a suite. It was beautiful. Fisherman’s village was a 5minute walk away but the Anantara was far enough away to be peaceful. We would definitely return if visiting that area again.
