Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort

This hotel is just perfect in every way, from the welcoming cold towel, friendly faces to the gorgeous rooms, pool area and that every member of staff that you saw smiled and did everything they could to help you! Thankyou for the most perfect Christmas and new year!

We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel in Koh Samui! The location was perfect, in front of the beach, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Rooms were very charming, and the pool / kids club were a hit with the kids. We Highly recommend !!

I cannot recommend the Anantara Lawana resort highly enough. We had a wonderful 2 weeks. The staff were so helpful and attentive. The rooms were lovely and the location perfect for us.

Check in took rather long. Breakfast is included for everyone, the selection is fantastic but seating is not sufficient (breakfast ends at 10:30, everybody comes at 9:30) about 30 tables for 2 with 200 guests wont work. Beach is not what we expected (see photo)

My stay at this hotel for my honeymoon was far from satisfactory. While I had high hopes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, several aspects of the hotel left much to be desired: Location: The hotel is inconveniently located far from major attractions and amenities. Both the hotel facilities (like the lobby and dining areas) and external activities required significant travel time (often using buggies). Pricing: Everything felt overpriced, from food to massages. The value for money was poor, especially given the service quality. Service: While some staff members were unprofessional and dismissive, making us feel like they were doing us a favor, it’s important to highlight a few exceptions. The receptionists were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and RK from the breakfast service stood out as an excellent waiter, ensuring we felt cared for and providing exceptional service. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Certain parts of the hotel had an unpleasant sewer-like smell, which is unacceptable for a 5-star property. Additionally, the gym facilities were substandard and not up to the expectations of a luxury hotel. Massage Experience: The spa was particularly disappointing. Despite the high cost, the massage was substandard, with therapists wasting time and including breaks as part of the paid session. The time promised for the actual massage was not delivered, as much of it was consumed by unrelated activities. Even after raising concerns, the compensation offered was minimal and felt inadequate. Breakfast: The breakfast was the one positive aspect of our stay. While it met expectations and provided a pleasant start to the day, it couldn’t compensate for the many other shortcomings. At the check out, the receptionist returned the full amount of the deposit I gave when we checked in without taking the services bill (room service and such), I guess it was because I shared my feelings the night before check out, was nice of them. In summary, this hotel did not live up to its 5-star rating. Between the inconvenient location, inconsistent service, and lack of value for money, I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and premium experience.
