Banyan Tree Samui

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect, from the comfortable rooms to the peaceful atmosphere. We especially appreciated the privacy of our villa C07, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Anna was an amazing host and took great care of everything. We also loved the yoga classes with Bikram—he is a fantastic coach, and his sessions were well-structured, relaxing, and energizing at the same time. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, his guidance makes every class a joy.

Banyan Tree Koh Samui sets high standards - and consistently delivers a luxury holiday experience. Key to this (for us) is the perfect setting on the private bay with beautiful beach - where we spent much of our ten day holiday. Jate and his team were super attentive, managing the all important loungers and cabanas, with ready supply of towels and refreshing face sprays and chilled water. Our Deluxe Pool Villa (F-09) was - as requested - very secluded and quiet with wonderfully tall palm trees. No glimpse of the sea - which we might opt for next time, if we return. Breakfasts are amazing - fantastic fresh food - wonderful fruit - and staff who are ever cheerful and helpful. Meeting the perfectly named staff member called Peach was a daily delight! The only thing that could be improved is the range and quality of food offered at Sands and Saffron restaurants - disappointingly there is no fresh fish on the menus. We took taxis to nearby Lamai for fresh grilled and baked fish. We were fortunate to have the delightful and super professional Abby as our host. She is just brilliant! Other staff who stood out were Poom at Sands restaurant, fantastic spa masseurs Nee, May and Dao. It was a real treat to be there, enjoying Thai hospitality and sunshine, and a better than the rest hotel resort.

I have just had the best massage in the world , I cannot recommend the Banyan tree enough. Loupla the masseur was out of this world and I feel like a new man. You must try the Thai classic enough. I will definately be doing again in preparation for the long journey home.

Very nice hotel at a great location. The villas are fantastic but a little old and could need some renovation. The service at the hotel is perfect and you get your own host that takes care of everything you might need. The beach is lovely, but the beach restaurant also needs and upgrade. Food is fine I am only talking about the building. I also missed a nice bar. But all in all, we enjoyed the hotel and the great service.

Beautiful loation, attentive welcoming and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. We never had to wait a long time for a bugg y and when we asked to go to the car park our car was ready and waitinng with air conditioning on. Amazing breakfast lasting until 11.00 am. Very civilised.
