Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui

We had a fantastic second time stay at Centara Reserve Koh Samui. From the service from all of the staff and the quality of the rooms, facilities and food from The Terrace breakfast were all excellent. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

It was the happiest travel destination and hotel of the recent trip. I think the service of the staff as well as the condition of the room was the best. I get treated more than the value of the money I paid.

Lovely swim up pool bar. Amenities were clean but rooms were a bit small as did not have room for at least one chair to sit inside or enough places to put your things.Beds were comfy.

Arrived here after staying 4 nights at The Peninsula Bangkok which was about 20% cheaper for an equivalent mid-category room type. The service standards at Centara while good, still paled in comparison to that of the The Peninsula. While relatively new, there are obvious signs of wear and tear. The top floor corridor (Block 7) have signs of roof water seepage. Soundproofing is below average as the walls between rooms are not solid concrete based walls but gypsum board material (sound hollow when knocked). Breakfast is monotonous with very little change in the day to day menu. Its best feature are its pools. However, the hotel should be stricter with the reservation of pool loungers. Saw a couple with the help of a pool assistant placing towels to reserve 10 strategically located loungers at 7.30am, with most loungers remaining unoccupied till after lunch. Salt Society, its beach bar restaurant had a very inviting ambience. On the whole, it is a well run hotel with positive vibes but not very good value for money. It is an expensive hotel and thus the expectations were higher. It would have deserved 5 stars rating if it was 20% - 25% cheaper.

We came back again pretty soon after our last visit. This time we came at the right month with more hot Sunny days. The property Still as amazing. They are still able to maintain a good quality of housekeeping and maintenance despite the huge property. Please continue to upkeep the beautiful property. Service Awesome and genuine warmth can be felt from all staff. GM Neil Li has always make his presence at a timely manner. Making us feel much valued. Krk (from breakfast restaurant) remembered I liked the a softer version of rice noodle (Kanom Jeen). She made sure I'm served that every morning. Tom Cruise as usual is always taking good care of us at the pool. Spa : We tried their spa treatment this year . They had beautiful rebuild their spa and the treatment was divine. We had a wonderful recharging trip again . Hope to be back next year. Thank you for all the wonderful stay. Missing u guys already.!!
