Conrad Koh Samui

The view alone is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, arriving at the lobby genuinely feels like you’re looking out over Santorini, with the addition of Thai hospitality. We very much enjoyed the Iris Farm, it adds a whole new level to dining when you know the eggs and produce are grown right there, an incredible farm-to-table experience. We went jet skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and did a half-day trip to Pig Island and another island to snorkel. I highly recommend getting out on the water in a Thai long tail boat and exploring, it’s such a special way to experience the island. A few special mentioned to some of the employees who added to our trip. Ae at Azure for the incredible energy and service. Bill for a seamless check-in and fantastic recommendations. Boom for the coffee master workshop - this was super interesting, I learned how to do late art. Fuse, Aon, Nong, and Kam from the water sports team. Zye, Dear, Malio were also great! Nu who took us to our next destination was amazing and hospitable. A big thank you as well to Kanitan, who curated an amazing itinerary for us. We will definitely be back.

We stayed for six days in April as a family of four. The staff were lovely - consistently warm, attentive, and doing their best - and the view is undeniably beautiful. Everything else is deeply frustrating. This is not a luxury resort. It is a meticulously designed cash extraction machine. Every aspect of the experience feels engineered to squeeze as much money out of you as possible - prices that are not just high, but predatory and completely detached from reality. You cannot relax because you are constantly being reminded that everything, no matter how basic, comes with an outrageous price tag. The geography only reinforces this (through no fault of its own). The steep incline means you rely on buggies to get anywhere. That’s not the issue. The issue is that this effectively traps you within the resort’s ecosystem - at the mercy of its pricing, with no easy alternatives. They have a monopoly over your time, your movement, and your wallet, and they exploit it shamelessly. You are not paying for convenience, and you are certainly not paying for quality - you are paying because you have no other option. I have never felt remotely sympathetic to Marxist critiques in my life, but being charged $650 USD for a mediocre, cold BBQ dinner for four was enough to convert me on the spot. What makes it worse is how it’s handled. At check-in, a staff member casually mentioned there was a Thai BBQ dinner that evening. We said we’d come at 7:30. At no point was it mentioned that this would cost $100 USD per person. No one expects things to be free but omitting that information crosses from poor communication into outright deception. That same lack of transparency permeates the entire resort. This happened on our first night, and it completely undermined my ability to relax for the rest of the stay. This resort is fine if all you want to do is sit by the pool and do absolutely nothing else. But the moment you want to eat, get a massage, or leave your room, you’re confronted with inflated prices and a system designed to keep you spending. I will not be returning to the Conrad Koh Samui.

This was our fifth stay at Conrad Koh Samui, and every visit reminds us why we always love coming back. Our spacious two-bedroom panoramic villa offered breathtaking sunset views — truly the best place to unwind and take in the beauty of the island. Our children first stayed here back in April 2017 and 2018, and it’s become a special family tradition to return after Covid — in 2024, 2025, and now 2026. Each stay is filled with relaxing moments in our private pool, main pool, scenic walks along the seafront pier, and countless photo memories. A special thank you to all the staff for their warm hospitality, especially New, who thoughtfully arranged a surprise birthday song performed by singers at Azure during my birthday dinner and many more during our stay. The food and service were wonderful, with special mention to Yooki and the restaurant team for their attentiveness. We also celebrated our son’s birthday dinner there, and it was equally memorable. It was nice to see and chat with Marco, GM of the resort again. This trip, we also enjoyed a half-day Pig Island tour arranged by the hotel, along with snorkelling around a nearby island surrounded by colorful fish — a truly fun and relaxing experience for the whole family. Conrad Koh Samui never fails to make us feel at home. Thank you again to the entire team for another perfect stay — we are already looking forward to our next visit.

As our honeymoon, it was the best experience we could ever hope for. As the arrival, we were first surprised with a breath-taking view of the resort and then warm welcome from Bill, one of our concierges. He greeted us with such sophisticated and yet utmost warm attitude (just the level one could expect from such a high-class resort), took close care of us during the whole 4-day visit. Also the entire service, the staffs provided for us, was considerate to all guests. From fine, timely cleaning to sensitive care of guest's food preferrences (for example, once I ordered ice with a beer, everytime I ordered beer, an ice cup was there, without asking). Even the buggy, which came within 5 min, every time! Most of all, I can go all night about the food, which was a top notch level. All type of cuisine, from Thai (Aow Thai) to western steak (Jahn), and wine selections were superb. Every morning, during breakfast at Aow Thai, we were greeted with delightful staffs and fine food, and of course the spectacular view!! Our new life together feels like blessed with the services of Conrad Samui. We will definitely come visit again as a more extended family and also with friends. Again, we thank the whole staff of Conrad Samui (and again thank you Bill, who made our time here most special) and will recommend to everyone around us.
