Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

Tongsai bay Samui is the finest hotel we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is phenomenal and can’t be beaten. From the welcome in by the lovely gate man, to the traditional Thai welcome with the lovely Jazz (I think that was her name) At reception. We were blessed with a cotton bracelet and given cold refreshing drinks and cold towels on arrival. The pool villa room was a dream come true, so beautiful and clean. Bed was so comfortable with soft sheets and the pillows were the best I’ve slept on. Our cleaner Geow was amazing and so friendly. The buggy drivers were so chatty and helpful too, I wish I knew all their names but we especially liked Ae. The breakfast spread was just perfect with a wide range of delicious food, With everything you want. The fruit lady was very funny and enthusiastic she had me giggling every morning her mango smoothie was delicious. My biggest shout out is to the manager Mark Harrison- nothing was to much trouble and he always took the time to come and find out if all was going well with our stay. I’ve not ever experienced such tentative staff and luxury all in one hotel. The experience we had was just perfect. We will be booking for next year. Karleen Penfold.

This was the perfect 5 night stay with my family in the three bedroom villa with two private pools. The villa was very spacious and comfortable. The property is built on a hillside and has a private beach which never felt busy. We were fortunate to enjoy the beach almost every day after hearing that the water conditions were a lot rougher the week prior. The surrounding forest and song birds really made you feel relaxed in every way. The staff were attentive, helpful, and always smiling. The overall level of service was impeccable; every staff member was kind and courteous. The text messaging service was timely and accurate. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of food and drinks. Most notable was Pu, the fruit lady, who has been serving guests since the hotel’s opening! Her smile and energy could be felt far beyond her perfectly blended fruit smoothies and ninja-like fruit preparation skills. After just one breakfast, Pu knew exactly what we desired. Then on, she knew exactly what were our ‘usuals.’ The mangoes, oh my! In particular, we’d like to give a HUGE thanks and appreciation to Mark, hotel manager, for his kindness and warm hospitality. His recommendations for local sights and restaurants were spot on. Upon our departure, Mark and several members of his team bid us farewell at the hotel lobby. This thoughtful and kind gesture really resonated with me and left our family feeling like we were leaving a home. We stay in hotels up to 40 nights a year, and this departure felt most special and appreciated as a hotel guest. Many, many thanks to you and your team, Mark! The pools are overall very good but the family pool could use a little updating. The beach is beautiful, albeit, the sand is not as fine as other beaches near by. Many beautiful sea shells scattered along the beach, including cuttlefish bones! The restaurants and food were fantastic. I highly recommend buying the Accor Plus membership for a discount. One night per week (?) the hotel hosts evening cocktails and snacks at the restaurant by the beach with live music. This was a fantastic and unexpected event. Really well done! Thank you! This was our first stay at a Garrya property and certainly won’t be our last. Can you please open more Garrya properties world wide? We look forward to returning to Garrya Tongsai Bay!

Second stay in this little paradise (but not the last!!!) As usually, everything was a real perfection... The property is quiet, very clean, food & beverage services perfect, and the geographical situation is just out the world! The suites very spacious are perfectly integrated in the vegetation, and offer a spectacular vue on the see. Swimming poll near the beach, in the image of the hotel, splendid and with a water temperature never under 30 degrees!...A special remark to the attention of the staff, they are, and without exception, all caring and so wonderful...

Excellent Hotel pure luxury and peacefully bliss! nothing was too much trouble, all staff amazing and a credit to the Manager Mark! Food was amazing! Amazed how you are made to feel at home & welcome from the outset, arrival to departure. The little leaving gift soon takes you back! With a little smell of the leaving gift Shame the holiday had to end! definitely will be back!

Doing a second review as my last one was focused on our wedding. We returned to the beautiful Tongsai bay for a weeks stay to celebrate 2 years since we were married on their beautiful beach. The welcome back was incredible, every member of staff saying welcome home, a special welcome pillow, a bottle of wine and card from Mark and a welcome back message from Manuel. Also seeing all the same staff from our wonderful wedding was lovely. We stayed in the sea view wellbeing villa and Jaew did an amazing job housekeeping for us during our stay. She is the kindest lady, who would do anything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, even giving me special ointments to help my mosquito bites. Anything we needed, Jaew would sort it out for us. The time and effort she took cleaning our room everyday is clearly why everything is always so beautiful. Love the little snacks each night before dinner. The room is incredible and has everything you need (see a couple of recommendations on improvements below). Reception staff are outstanding and anything you need help with, even dinner or trip logistics outside of the hotel they are there to help. Tang went out of his way to take care of us during our stay. He is the kindest and loveliest man, he went above and beyond always (also helping me with my awful mosquito bites), we will miss speaking to him each lunch time! Feel like the food just gets better and better. Head chef Eak always overseeing things to make sure they are seamless and outstanding. We had private beach dinner which was one of the best meals we have ever eaten (the pan seared almond tuna was my favourite!). Private chef and waiter Pong and Don made our evening super special. The Tuesday beach bbq is also delicious!! All of the staff were outstanding but special mentions to all of the following Pong, Don, Obb, Nok, Tang, Mr Ae, Cha, Lek, Kate, Jaew, Pasul, Ja, Groof, Tekong, Reen, Jah, Lalita, Joy, Torn, Ice and Peah (who make the best Mai Tais around). It is always refreshing to go to a hotel where management actually care what is going on, Mark and Manuel are always visible and walking around the resort checking in on guests, they go out of their way to make sure everything is okay and connect with the staff. It is clear they really care and take pride in the Tongsai service and guest experience. Can’t wait to come back soon, we miss it already! Small recommendations for even more perfection: - Better hairdryer in room - Easier dispensers in shower - Iron in room - appreciate there is laundry service but sometimes you just want to remove creases before dinner and it would be handy to have it to hand - Shuttle service to choeng mon could be at different intervals in day instead of just one time and there could also be a shuttle to fisherman’s village on market day, because the taxi situation at reception was chaos with multiple people going to the same place and no one from reception taking charge to put people in the same transfer etc. and people having booked cabs that clearly had not been booked
