Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

Every time we return to Tongsai it’s as though we are coming home. The warm welcome and beaming smiles greeting us makes us instantly relax knowing that all our worries are left safely behind and we have entered another World. The surroundings get more and more beautiful as the lush landscape flourishes under the care of this eco friendly resort. As always, it is the wonderful team who make our time here special. The “old guard” Tongsai longstanding staff Don, Tang, Picnic, Obb, Kookai, P’Pu, Chef Eak, Chef Joy, Chef Pasuk, Su, Sakrai, Ja, Peah, Ice, Torn, Tee, Mark, Hiro, Leila, and now the standout “newbies” Bum, Groof and Ta Kong who have that Tongsai heart. Also, big shout out to the security lady at the lobby who took her Songkran soaking so well! Apologies to anyone we forgot to mention; we still have jet lag! We are looking forward to returning for more rest and recuperation in September.

We loved our stay here. Service is impeccable and the staff showed such kindness to our son making him feel special at every moment. He loved the buggy rides, wildlife and specially peeled bananas from Pu! All the staff are so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing experience.

Where do we start with the quite simply perfect Garrya Tongsai Bay Hotel. *Arrival* Immediately from stepping foot off the plane at Samui airport, we had our first experience of the WORLD CLASS Garrya staff with our lovely transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival we were offered cold towels, a special iced tea with lots of goodness in there, treats, a good luck wrist band and some beautiful words to welcome us and wish us well for our stay and in life...... *Room* We were then taken via buggy to our spectacular room which was perfect in every way and more, with the added extra of some treats and decorations as it was our honeymoon (amongst many other lovely touches from the hotel). The view from the room can only be described as paradise, as is the whole hotel! The bed was super comfy, the room was always super clean and it was just perfect again in every way. *Activities* We took part in many activities during our stay, all of which were amazing and dealt with by the hotel making each such enjoyable experiences - we highly recommend: bo phut elephant sanctuary, the hotel cooking class with the amazing Joy! The spa (wow!), the Muay Thai class with the unbelievable M (M also runs the meditation on the beach which looked very special!). *Food* STUNNING - I will keep this short, probably the best food we've ever eaten, we are well travelled and I'm struggling to think of anywhere I've had better. *Location* You won't find a more picturesque, stunning and relaxing place on earth than here, very sad when we had to leave and ready to get back asap! 15 minutes from fisherman's village (a must when there!) and 5 minutes from Chong Mon which was also a lovely place to go for some drinks on the beach. Saving the best till last.... ***The legendary staff*** I cannot name enough names so feel bad only mentioning a select few on this post, all the way from the world's best hotel Manager in Mark, across every member of each team right through the hotel...... the most hospitable and genuinely beautiful people you'll find anywhere in the world all seem to work at Garrya - you made our stay and honeymoon unforgettable over anything else during our time in Thailand, we miss you all and cannot wait to be back to see you all again ASAP! A very beautiful and relaxing resort with incredible views and a clean, private beach. The staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was amazing with a big selection at the buffet. We looked forward to it each morning! We cannot wait to visit this property again.
