Lovely location! In the heart of Fisherman’s Village within short walk of loads of bars, restaurants, a market and shops. Beautiful large infinity pool which overlooks the sea. Sunbeds are comfortable and there are plenty so managed to get one everyday. Breakfast is good with great selection and lots of fruit and different options. Loved the iced cappuccinos! Staff were very friendly in the restaurant and bars and cleaners were great. Reception staff tried but their level of English wasn’t great. Room was large but too dark. Lots of traditional wood and lack of storage space. Shower and bathroom were ok but generally the room could do with upgrade. WiFi wasn’t brilliant. If you were close to reception then was good but not brilliant at far end of pool.

A great hotel with amazing staff in a nice location on the beach and just a stones throw from all that Fisherman's Village has to offer, which is considerable. Our room was lovely with a great pool and sea view. Breakfast here is outstanding. A couple of negatives, our bed was mounted on a wooden base bigger than the bed it's self, we both lost count of how many times we stubbed our toes on it, such a silly, dangerous design. Bedroom lighting, I have never seen so many lights and light switches, 21 switches, yes, 21! We never fully worked out how the system worked! Hotel WiFi, good coverage, but plagued with the constant, sometimes twice daily requirement to to keep re logging back on, this is the only hotel in Thailand we have stayed in with this problem. Overall a great stay, thanks to all concerned.

Wonderful Hotel! My husband and I stayed for two weeks. The hotel is great, right on the beach with an infinity pool and only about 100 yards from Fisherman's Village so you have the tranquility of the hotel but with all the local bars and restaurants within walking distance. What makes this hotel special though are the staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. When my husband wasn't very well the last couple of days of our holiday, the main guy in the restaurant rang our room and suggested food that was suitable for him and had it delivered to our room. It doesn't get better than that! Thank you to all your staff, the ones that cleaned our room, the breakfast staff and the guys at the bar on the beach. We will definitely come back!

Our recent stay at Hansar Samui Resort & Spa left us quite disappointed, as the experience did not align with the standards expected from a 5-star hotel, especially given the high room rates. Room: The design and decor were pleasant, but the air conditioning unit was old and very loud. Additionally, there was an air purifier in the room, though its purpose was unclear. Despite these, the room still felt humid at times—something a proper, updated air conditioner should have managed more effectively. Breakfast: The breakfast selection was rather limited, and the staff did not communicate the available options (such as food stations or made-to-order dishes). On multiple occasions, they struggled with English, leading to misunderstandings when ordering. Gym: The gym was dimly lit, and the equipment and machines felt outdated. It did not meet the expectations of a luxury resort. Pool: The pool area was frustratingly difficult to enjoy. Lounge chairs were “reserved” early in the morning with towels, yet many guests did not return until much later, making it nearly impossible to find a spot in the late morning or afternoon. Bar & Cocktails: Cocktails at the bar were a disappointment—more like fruit juice than actual cocktails, with barely any noticeable alcohol. To make matters worse, in the evening, they were served in plastic cups, which felt far from a premium experience. Service & Location: On a positive note, the reception staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel’s location is a definite plus—situated on the waterfront and within walking distance of Fisherman’s Village, making it convenient for dining and exploring. Overall Impression: Despite the nice location and friendly reception staff, the overall experience did not justify the high price tag. The outdated facilities, lack of proper service at breakfast, and underwhelming pool and bar experience made it fall short of 5-star expectations. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel given the current level of service and amenities.
