Heard all reviews travel a lot me and children twins who are 11 Would give 5 stars only that it’s far away and not much going on **Positives** Paradise Quite Food gorgeous Staff at breakfast Kevin just so lovely so good with kids which makes holiday Managers lovely too Rooms massive and lovely Mini bar cheap Mosquitos every we’re not just here as stayed in different hotels so they was not a problem (read reviews) **Negatives** Had interconnecting room and can here neighbours very clear 😱 but they wasn’t up too late Just dead no soul hardly any staff about No activities at pool No interation with entertainment team No one going around pool taking orders Kids was playing ball in the pool and felt like I had to tell children to be quiet because for some raised eyes from middle aged couple even though there was a adult pool and we had the right to play. Kids club was a baby room nothing for over 5s Food and drinks expensive Too far to pop out to shop a good 10 min up a dirt track road from any were Taxi not cheap to leave and no tuk tuks Shuttle goes at 1pm to chewang beach and comes back at 4pm Should be every 2h considering how isolated hotel is, would of been better to go down around 4/5pm to chewang for dinner and back about 8/9pm maybe would be nice to have the choice Conclusion Nice if wnat a super quiet peaceful get away be nice to stay here for a few days to recharge but then move to a more local hotel Because of the isolation the hotel needs more going on as have no choice but to leave for some human connection but it’s a effort to leave as well Depends what you want it’s better for older couples I’d say it’s just too far from anywhere Tip : If have kids or want a change get shuttle to chewang regent sister hotel to use their lively pool with children

Be careful! The hotel is located on a small beach that is nothing special—very basic and far from expansive. The pool is mediocre at best, leaning more toward poor, but still acceptable. The loungers, however, are a complete disaster, and the beach restaurant, much like the entire property, is extremely outdated. Even the management admitted to us that the hotel was built 30 years ago and has not been renovated since. And it shows. The roofs are on the verge of collapse. The so-called “pool villas” are not villas at all but rather junior suites with a small pool, no larger than 3x1.80 meters, situated directly in front of the living room. The area is infested with mosquitos, which also make their way into the villa due to the lack of proper mosquito netting or screens. The rooms are definitely not clean, with smashed mosquitos splattered on the walls. We encountered three instances of a clogged toilet, and nobody came to fix it. We also had a blocked sink, and despite multiple requests, no one addressed the issue. Drinks were served incomplete, poorly mixed, or in portions far too small. The price we were charged for the hotel stay was exorbitantly high compared to the experience we received. After four days, we decided to leave the hotel because the photos online were completely unrealistic and did not reflect the reality of the resort. There are only two restaurants on the property. The food is passable but far from a highlight, and you’re likely to get a better meal at local restaurants in the nearby towns. The alcohol selection for cocktails is very limited. There were two shows during our stay, and both were so subpar that they were almost laughable. That said, the staff genuinely tries their best and is very friendly, although many struggle with basic English. Unfortunately, the primary issue lies with the appallingly bad management. It’s baffling how such poor leadership can operate a hotel of this scale. The manager has no control over the staff, fails to ensure proper training, and their lack of professionalism is evident. Even when issues were raised, no meaningful resolutions were offered, citing “hotel policy.” We were offered a voucher worth 150 Euros, which is insulting considering we paid an average of over 300 Euros per night for the room or so-called villa. This hotel is not a 5-star property—at best, it’s 3.5 stars, but realistically, it’s closer to 3 stars. The spa is small, the changing rooms are filthy, and the level of hygiene overall is completely inadequate. The entire resort is in dire need of renovation. It is absolutely unacceptable to present the hotel in such a way online while charging such inflated prices. It’s nothing short of a scam. I sincerely hope the owners of this hotel take immediate action to renovate the property and replace the manager. I’m giving this hotel 2 stars solely because of the friendly staff.

This is my second time coming to Melati and I can say with confidence that it does not disappoint. The welcoming party are kind and provide cold towels after a long trip and make check in very easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with the aircon and balcony making it more luxurious. The breakfast is superb as the buffet has variety and the food is delicious. The main pool area is large and the temperature is just right. The View Restaurant is extremely relaxing and the food is incredible. So many options whether someone wants western, Thai or fusion seafood etc. The hotel provides many entertainment options and my family used the massage spa, pool bar, room service, pool activities a lot this holiday. Even with the weather raining half the time we stayed , the hotel made up for it with excellent cuisine, quick and friendly service, and the exciting experience of going to the Fisherman’s market. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time near the beach while spending time with family and wanting to experience something new.

### TripAdvisor Rating for Melati Resort, Ko Samui I initially considered giving a rating of 1 or 2 stars, but I want to recognize the wonderful staff who made my stay much more enjoyable. Special thanks to Tawan at reception, Fom at the sky view restaurant, the Italian-speaking Ukrainian gentleman, and the Muay Thai instructors (whose names I can't recall). They went above and beyond, helping us secure tickets for a Muay Thai boxing show, making restaurant reservations, and even arranging a birthday cake. Their professionalism and courtesy truly stood out! However, there were several issues during my stay: 1. Room Conditions: While the rooms were spacious, the locks on the terrace were faulty. Unfortunately, it rained for most of our visit, and we experienced leaks in the toilet area throughout our stay. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, no one from maintenance came to address it. We also struggled to get extra towels after asking for two days and were unable to change rooms. This created a hazardous situation with slippery floors, and all our dry clothes ended up damp and musty. 2. Dining Experience: The breakfast was decent, but the barbecue buffet at the restaurant was a huge disappointment being overpriced and lacking variety. With the outdoor barbecue canceled due to rain, the food was served on warm plates after being pre-cooked. The beef options were limited to one kind of flavorless and dry skewers, and the fish and seafood were also dry and lacking flavor. However, the pasta station was satisfactory, and the shrimp cakes were exceptional. The fire show was a highlight! 3. Indoor Activities: Given the rainy weather, we expected more indoor activities to be available (even for an extra charge), but the resort felt quite dull. Thankfully, we found some workout classes, although there was confusion about their locations by the staff, leading us to the wrong places in the rain. I believe that on sunny days, the resort could be a beautiful place to relax by the pool or beach, but when the weather is poor, the current setup can transform the experience into a stressful ordeal. It made me reconsider whether it would have been better to cancel the trip altogether.
