This is my second time coming to Melati and I can say with confidence that it does not disappoint. The welcoming party are kind and provide cold towels after a long trip and make check in very easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with the aircon and balcony making it more luxurious. The breakfast is superb as the buffet has variety and the food is delicious. The main pool area is large and the temperature is just right. The View Restaurant is extremely relaxing and the food is incredible. So many options whether someone wants western, Thai or fusion seafood etc. The hotel provides many entertainment options and my family used the massage spa, pool bar, room service, pool activities a lot this holiday. Even with the weather raining half the time we stayed , the hotel made up for it with excellent cuisine, quick and friendly service, and the exciting experience of going to the Fisherman’s market. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing time near the beach while spending time with family and wanting to experience something new.

### TripAdvisor Rating for Melati Resort, Ko Samui I initially considered giving a rating of 1 or 2 stars, but I want to recognize the wonderful staff who made my stay much more enjoyable. Special thanks to Tawan at reception, Fom at the sky view restaurant, the Italian-speaking Ukrainian gentleman, and the Muay Thai instructors (whose names I can't recall). They went above and beyond, helping us secure tickets for a Muay Thai boxing show, making restaurant reservations, and even arranging a birthday cake. Their professionalism and courtesy truly stood out! However, there were several issues during my stay: 1. Room Conditions: While the rooms were spacious, the locks on the terrace were faulty. Unfortunately, it rained for most of our visit, and we experienced leaks in the toilet area throughout our stay. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, no one from maintenance came to address it. We also struggled to get extra towels after asking for two days and were unable to change rooms. This created a hazardous situation with slippery floors, and all our dry clothes ended up damp and musty. 2. Dining Experience: The breakfast was decent, but the barbecue buffet at the restaurant was a huge disappointment being overpriced and lacking variety. With the outdoor barbecue canceled due to rain, the food was served on warm plates after being pre-cooked. The beef options were limited to one kind of flavorless and dry skewers, and the fish and seafood were also dry and lacking flavor. However, the pasta station was satisfactory, and the shrimp cakes were exceptional. The fire show was a highlight! 3. Indoor Activities: Given the rainy weather, we expected more indoor activities to be available (even for an extra charge), but the resort felt quite dull. Thankfully, we found some workout classes, although there was confusion about their locations by the staff, leading us to the wrong places in the rain. I believe that on sunny days, the resort could be a beautiful place to relax by the pool or beach, but when the weather is poor, the current setup can transform the experience into a stressful ordeal. It made me reconsider whether it would have been better to cancel the trip altogether.

Just returned from 10 days staying at the lovely resort. We stayed in the pool villa and it was clean well stocked and so comfortable to relax in. We were all inclusive and the fridge was well stocked and filled daily. The resort was so relaxed and it would be difficult not to be relaxed here as it’s a total chill out experience. The pools were so nice and never to busy my only gripe was the serenity pool which is for adults only but a very selfish family decided it was ok for them to bring there young children there so it was a little noisy when they turned up. The food was excellent we only went to the beach restaurant as it was so relaxed there and Kevin and mint were always there to greet you with a massive smile.all the staff were so pleasant and always greeted you with a smile. Cleanliness was excellent as the resort was always clean and the garden staff worked reshare to maintain the area. I would suggest that there should be a couple of signs on the steps from the beach as non residents did come on to the sun beds a couple of times but there was always spare beds available but if signs were there this would stop this happening as you would be annoyed if you could not get a sunbed because random people were walking onto the hotels grounds and using the beds. I would highly recommend a staying here if you want a total chill out fantastic resort.

Melati met and in some areas exceeded my expectations. Firstly, several members of staff were exemplary, representing the hotel in the best light. The stand out members of staff who made our stay as enjoyable as they possibly could were: Kevin, Gift, Sunny and Mint in restaurant and bar areas. All so lovely, helpful and sweet. Then Tawan on reception and our hard working and always smiling room maid. The gardens beautifully designed and kept. Our room was more like an apartment, authentically Thai, with lots of thought through details and furnishings down to the jasmine fragranced oil burners, nightly traditional Thai treats, refreshing cool pool to dip in when I was overwhelmingly hot, coffee machine and 4 fresh water bottles daily. Two tvs too. Restaurant food delicious. Happy hour 2 for 1 twice daily to indulge in a big variety of delicious cocktails. Also beach service at sunbeds by Sunny :-) Day trip to pig Island and snorkel with massive slide and transparent kayak with lunch was so much fun. Organised through hotel meant adequate safety, insurance and quality approved. Melati massage spa treatment 1.5 hours was heavenly and so much cheaper than UK prices. Beach was nice on calm days. Eating out options to local village (walkable in day time), taxi via app about £6 or hop on local bus running to and from Fishermans village and Pi beach club all fantastic. Entertainment (unexpected!) Included fire dance displays on beach, Thai boxing from comfort of Thai restaurant. Brilliant! Overall, the only complaint would be that not all staff were as nice and welcoming as the ones mentioned. And bring mossie repellant!
