Its stylish split-level villas offer the opportunity to gaze onto mountains and sea from almost everywhere you stand, and most feature private pools and indulgent outdoor daybeds. Among the generous amenities is the bounty of Mother Nature - 270-degree views of the surrounding sea and outlying islands, The award-winning restaurant of Six Senses Samui, Dining on the Rocks, established its enviable reputation by offering New Asian Cuisine coupled with a stunning panoramic view out to the Gulf of Siam. Raising the bar even higher, the latest innovation to come out of the kitchen is called Modern Interpretive Cuisine. My stay at Six Senses Samui was amazing. The location has stunning views, and the private pool villas were both luxurious and peaceful. The buffet dinner was one of the best I’ve had, with lots of delicious options. I also loved the farm on the hill, where you can see goats and chickens and even collect eggs for breakfast. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better. Six Senses Samui is perfect for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.

Pictures don't quite do this location justice, and do not capture the charm and warmth that accompany the villas here at Six Senses. We had an excellent stay. The friendly staff work tirelessly and were always available to us -- the service is really top notch. Our hideaway room was spacious and had a beautiful view. I love that everywhere we went felt like we were in a rainforest canopy. The beach is secluded and beautiful during the day, and the "quiet pool" on the hill has an amazing view of the sunset while being conveniently close to the restaurant. We really loved the complimentary "sunset party" that the resort threw while we were there, as well as the "library" which was a wonderful quiet space to do a little work and read in air conditioning. Food was delicious - breakfast was abundant and drinks were generous, including the many mocktails available. The spa was superb. You're not too far from Chaweng or Choengmon, and Grabs were available within minutes whenever we wanted to go "into town". This resort remains rooted in nature, and it feels very special everywhere you go. Keep in mind it is on a steep hill and so there are many stairs (though golf carts are easily available at any time of day to get you up and around from your room to any part of the resort) We'll have to come back to try the dinner on the rocks.

This six senses resort is really beautiful - both the villas and the overall resort. There are numerous spots around the resort that take your breath away. The other real treat is the friendliness of the team working there - right across the resort. Such great Thai hospitality. The way the resort is designed it has a great balance of relaxation and luxury but doesn't feel up tight which was really nice. The spa was wonderful and we had a great anniversay meal 'on the rocks' which was a lovely experience, as well as a fun cooking class. When we arrived the resort was pretty quiet (early june) so there really wasn't much going on especially in the evenings. This isn't the place you go for a party holiday! We did go into Fishermans Village for an evening, and then went back again for our last night because we enjoyed it so much. Coco Tams is the place to go for a fun evening, and the hotel shuttle (or local taxi) works well - it is only 15 minutes way. We also visited the Samui Elephant Haven which was amazing, and picks up from the hotel. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether it is worth having a pool villa. In some ways it was a treat but there were a lot of mosquitos by the little pool as it was tucked in the undergrowth (although they try to spray to remove them) so we didn't really sit out there. The main pool is beautiful and also has less bugs as it's windier! And to be honest we weren't sure about the cocktails - they just didn't taste like they usually do so many it is the local ingredients. The lemongrass straws are amazing though and the soft drinks were lovely so probably did us good! Overall it felt like a really luxurious stay if you want to relax where nothing was too much trouble (our GEM Honey was always there for advice too).

Six Senses Samui is definitely a very beautiful resort and the location is great. I would highly recommend the Food & Beverage team, thanks to Mr. Sumeet The F&B Director we discovered Dinner on The Rock. The view is breathtaking and the hospitality was amazing. I would like to congratulate the team for making a difference for a very important day for my girlfriend, we had her birthday dinner choosing the Marine to Mountain menu, Dining on the rocks. Khun Khatoon was very helpful and had a wonderful conversation explaining us the menu course by course. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. The chefs prepared everything so well as my girlfriend is very picky on food and she loved all the flavors and everything was cooked to perfection. Mr. Sumeet came to greet us during dinner and made sure we were well settled. Everything was cooked to perfection from the amuse bouche to the dessert. Congratulations to the F&B team.

We stayed 8 nights at Six Senses Samui for our honeymoon. What can I say, we will be back! This is by the far the nicest and most relaxing holiday we have had. The hotel goes above and beyond to accomodate every need. Starting with the staff, they were delightful from the minute we met them and they remembered our orders (coffee etc). The staff were very trust worthy, friendly and kind. We did a cooking class with “Mae”, a truly authentic fun experience and well priced given that you get to eat 3 courses of food. They give the recipes too. The resort room was fantastic. We were in a one bedroom pool ocean view villa. It exceeded our expectations. Beautiful view, anytime buggy and room service, multiple per day turn down the room service (cleaning in the morning and remake beds, get the villa ready to sleep by lowering mosquito nets and turning on mood candles at night). The bed was comfortable enough but was a joined 2 king singles - perhaps for a 5 star resort this could be upgraded to a pillow top to make it extra comfortable. The outdoor showers were a hit and very romantic. The pool was very clean, tranquil and private. The spa massages were worth every bit of the money and very good value for the quality. The massage rooms are individual ocean view rooms - royalty! We ate at “dinner on the hill” multiple times with a mix of the Thai buffet and A La carte and we just kept going back for more! The food was top notch quality and tasty. The wine options were great. The room service menu was fantastic and well priced considering the quality. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab lichee salad, Tom yung goong curry, Crab yellow curry, and massaman curry. The finishing touches of cool towels and complimentary drinks throughout our stay made it memorable and made us feel special. The breakfast buffet was generous and of high quality. Ranging from homemade fresh pastries (the nicest we have ever had), homegrown broad fruit range, noodle soup bar, Thai and European Brekky options, with daily specials, the restaurant just oozed elegance and style. I would highly recommend the Pad Grapow off the A La carte breakfast menu and the various pastries. The daily complimentary ice cream from 3-5pm was a lovely touch and exactly what was needed on the warm days enjoying the holiday life. The gym was good. Perhaps the only thing could be the daily yoga classes had more time slots for the early birds (7.30am) as we found 8.30am a little late for us. Each to their own though. You can also hire motorbikes through the hotel for a good price and trusted company. The “drift on the beach” bar was great to chill and had happy hour most days. Cocktails were very creative and enjoyable. A special mention to our GEM “Aum”, restaurant staff “Dada” and friendly hard working manager “T” for making our experience at Six Senses Samui extra special. We will be back.

I just got back this morning from having spent 10 nights in paradise. I agree with comments about the beds, they are so comfortable. The butler was great. I do not have one bad thing to say about this place, it is 101% perfection!
