Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

Kowloon Shangri-La never fails to deliver exceptional service. I stayed at this hotel 8 years ago with my brother and have been dreaming of going back ever since. Finally, I returned to Kowloon Shangri-La in October 2024 for 10 nights, this time married and with children. I have been telling my wife how much I wanted to bring her here to experience Shangri-La’s hospitality. Despite returning post-pandemic, parts of Shangri-La is just as I remembered it. And other parts have improved. Shangri-La is still as warm and welcoming as I remembered it. I want to give special mention to one of the front desk staff named Vivienne Yu. Her service and interaction with my family deserves commendation and acknowledgment. She gave special attention to my 2 small children, and always greeted them with a smile. She went above and beyond to ensure my family had a comfortable and enjoyable stay and departure. My wife loved her experience so much, that we decided to book an extra two nights in November, when we returned from Japan, and rested there before flying back to NYC. Our room was the Horizon Club Harbor View room. It had a great view of Victoria Harbor. The room was always clean, and turn down service was always on time. The water pressure in the shower was strong and water temperature was always to our liking. The room provided plenty of space for my kids to roam around. They both loved sitting on the sofa and watching the boats sail by. The location was very convenient. Everything you need is within walking distance. Lots of attractions are within walking distance as well. 24 hour self-service laundry is only a 10 min walk away. Cafe Kool is still our go to place for breakfast. The food and the variety is still good quality. And the kids loved the many Cantonese and Western breakfast selections. And we all know most kids are picky eaters. My family and I cannot wait to go back. There are just too many excellent qualities to continue listing. Highly recommend this hotel. You will not regret it.

The experience at Kowloon Shangrila is memorable and outstanding. The moment we arrived, we were treated well. AMBER LEE has been very accommodating, warm and friendly. She attended to all our needs. Actually, it was because of her our experience is top notch. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a sweet note, sweet treats and little Edward. Love the personal touch. Thank you AMBER. The hotel is dated but still sparked the premium feels of a Shangrila hotel. The rooms are huge, sheets are clean and always had that signature Shangrila scent. The hotel was also near the MTR station. We truly enjoyed our stay! Will come back again next year!

First class hotel for second class price. Presently surprise about the hotel. Greeted by Amber who saw to all our concerns. All the staff go out of their way to ensure that you have a great time and all your needs are met. I wish all hotels showed the same courtesy.

Good stay overall. Hotel building is slightly dated, but the positive out of that is that the entire place, from the common areas to the rooms, is very spacious by Hong Kong standards. Also, in spite of the building's apparent age, everything is clean and well-maintained. Conveniently located beside the MTR station exit that leads to/from 2 different train lines. Also plenty of shopping and F&B nearby, and there is a direct linkway from the hotel's second storey to a bridge that leads to the waterfront for easy access to the Avenue of Stars. The spread at the buffet breakfast left nothing to complain about. F&B in the other eateries in the hotel were good, albeit slightly pricey. Desserts at the lobby lounge were excellent. Service excellent too. Almost every single staff member we interacted with throughout the stay was friendly and helpful, and there were too many positive interactions to specifically mention individually. The only exception was a lady whose name badge stated "Wing" whom we encountered at breakfast. She was the only person throughout our entire stay who left us with a bad impression.

We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. This is the second visit in 2 months. Because of the excellent food and service from the Horizon Club, we already re-booked for my husband's birthday. To my surprise, the wonderful staff from the Club gave us a big welcome. The check-in was swift with a good view on 20/F. They have surely remembered our preferences during the first visit and assigned a really nice and quiet room on 16/F. The room is spacious and decorated with "Happy Birthday" banners and balloons. The staff did an excellent job and sent us a nice and heartwarming birthday card and cake. Special thanks to Hayden, Max, Hebe, Elisa, Janis and the staff at the Horizon Club. Hayden is always professional and put clients' comfort and satisfaction as his first priority. As an internationally well-known hotel franchise, it is of essential that the service is the key to acquire loyalty clients besides room, facilities and food. It is apparent that the staff is well aware of it and service the clients whole-heartedly. I will surely come back again and recommend everyone to stay in Shangri-La.
