There are two ways to reach Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi. One is by speedboat from Ao Nang – the option most guests choose – and the other is by a steep trail over the craggy mountain peaks that shelter the resort from the rest of the world. Centara sits alone in a valley of palm trees on the banks of a sheltered cove. Sunbathers love this idyllic setup – the beach is long, and privacy is easy to find – while adventurer-seekers head to the Andaman Sea at the helm of a chartered boat. Rooms and villas, meanwhile, are built in a traditional Thai architectural style, with tropical pops of color enlivening an open-plan layout.

Service quality and cleanliness were bad. The air conditioning unit was very loud, and we couldn’t keep it on at night, which made the room extremely hot during the night. We also had to ask for more towels (both large and small) every single day. We were given only one small towel and two large ones, even though there were four of us. We constantly had to share towels, and at times, we didn’t even have a small hand towel at all.

We came to this part of Thailand towards the end of our holiday to relax and enjoy the rest of the time here, and we did exactly that. The place is so serene. The stay was made extra special due to the staff that will go the extra mile to make your stay special. Namely JR and Jomel. JR always found us in a crowd and made a special attempt to come and say hi, if there was anything we were unsure about JR's face was the one we looked for. Jomel was maticulous in his customer service, and had an eye for his attention to detail, and always had a welcoming look on his face

We LOVED this place! The service was great, especially Jomel. You can’t beat the view and secluded beach. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. We had great massages at the spa, and the breakfast was amazing. They had a fire show that was incredible too.

What a beautiful resort. Tucked in with its own beach area and jetty. The resort is accessed by boat or by the monkey trail. We had an outstanding room with a fabulous view. We joined the club lounge which gave us access to an area of calm. Chacha was a fabulous host and very knowledgeable. We were made very welcome. Set within a national park, you get to see the monkeys wandering around sometimes. They tend to keep themselves to themselves and as long as you keep your balcony doors locked, there is no issue. There were quite a few stairs to reach our room. So I would bear in mind, if you have any mobility issues. But all in all we had a marvellous stay and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful location but outdated rooms and dirty beach and water. Boat shuttle is difficult and poorly organized (did not note boat shuttle was the only manner in which to reach resort during booking)
