About the Hotel

Modern Hotel with Traditional Service
We loved this hotel. The concierge went above and beyond to help us with two serious issues our group had. The food and service at Mr. Maurice's was excellent. The rooms were spacious and well laid out and quiet which might surprise you when you walk into the busy reception and coffee shop area. Loved the decor and layout of the hotel.

Stay here!
Accommodating staff, modern rooms with good comfort level in pillows and mattress. Spacious clever design and central to everything; food train, shops, family mart. After we stayed here nothing looked as good. Shout out to all the staff who made our stay really special. Oh and it’s dog friendly!

Home away from Home
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Ace Hotel felt like a home away from home. It was also our treat to ourselves on our trip, and it lived up to all our expectations. There is such a great vibe and energy in the foyer and shared spaces, and yet the rooms are a calm retreat, with home touches and the best bathroom ever! Would highly recommend

I had an excellent 5 night stay at the Ace. Highlights were: - amazing boutique hotel design everywhere - excellent service and very helpful staff - good sized rooms with super comfortable mattresses - hotel Italian restaurant was amazing .. great food and atmosphere. Mushroom pizza was the best! This is the place to stay!

Modern & minimalist design in a great location!
I loved the vibe of the hotel—from the modern and minimalist design throughout to the in-room turntable and guitar (touches that made me smile), to the use of a repurposed building and the blended indoor and outdoor spaces. The rooms were spacious (especially for Japan!), the cotton robes and PJs were comfortable, and I liked that the amenities supported the environment. People always make the difference and I found the team at Ace knowledgeable and warm. Special thanks for the quick turnaround to my request at the front desk. Also to be commended is the painless process of checking in and out. Ace has a great location. It is a few steps away from Nishiki market, the Kyoto Manga Museum, and the Kyoto Museum. There are lots of little shops in the immediate vicinity, and there are convenient bus and train stops further away. Will definitely return.
