Beautiful and Restful Resort

Amazing resort. Couldn’t be more beautiful. The setting and view of Arenal volcano cannot be beat. Great amenities. Several restaurants and pools. The rooms are gorgeous and all have a private pool and outdoor showers. Friendly staff. Lots to do in the area.

Amazing

We went for our honeymoon and honestly so happy we did! The resort was lovely including the rooms and the service was amazing. Will definitely be going back!! The staff made our stay so easy and pleasant and I loved all of the possible excursions and spa treatments. Wish we had stayed longer.

Great time

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds and relaxing experience. The view from our room was spectacular albeit the rain. Everyone was helpful and accommodating to the situation I would return during a time when rain wasn’t as constant. I realize I am in a rain forest but it did hamper our trip

Magical stay

Our whole stay at Nayara Gardens was incredible! We adored the room with the pool, and spent many hours sitting in it looking at the views of Arenal. The hotel and the grounds were immaculate and we loved wondering around the resort spotting the different wildlife. One morning we were trying to spot Tony the sloth, and Jason then took us on a tour to try and spot more sloths and monkeys on the golf cart, what a great morning! We ended up spotting a family of howler monkeys with a little baby. The food was also delicious, omelettes to order for breakfast and amazing tacos for dinner. The level of service was far beyond what we have experienced elsewhere, it was a magical place to stay for our 1st anniversary :)

LUSH and Beautiful RESORT 5 stars!! BOOK this property!

Just returned from the most amazing resort I think I've ever been to. Nayara Gardens is top notch. All the staff will go above and out of your way to make sure your stay is the best experience. They checked in on us often. Nayara is about a 3 hours ride from Liberia or San Jose airports. I have to warn you that the last hour is very curvy so please sit in the front seat if you get car sick. If you are renting a car rent one that is powerful and try not to drive to La Fortuna at night. We stayed in Nayara Gardens which is family friendly so keep that in mind if you want a more quiet place, book the Nayara Springs. The only reason I say that is there might be a family next to yours in the adjacent casita. It's 3 huge properties Gardens, Springs, and Tents and all are wonderful. The casitas are very secluded and although you are next to another casita a big fence blocks your view of them. You can book your transfers (which I recommend) ahead of time at the hotel, however, we actually booked with CR travel and Tours. If you book transfers from an outside source you will have to pay cash(US dollars or Colones) but all excursions you can pay with a credit card. I highly recommend CR Travel & Tours who communicates through whatsapp. We joined the IHG Leaders Club and got buy 3 nights get one free! It was our anniversary and they spoiled us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates when we arrived. The prices at Nayara are a few dollars more then the states for dining.(similar to fine dining). Don't worry about bringing bug spray or sun tan lotion because they provide that at the pools. When we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of the property. We had our own "warm springs" plunge pool and an indoor and outdoor shower. My favorite restaurant was Aya but they were all very good. A wonderful breakfast was included and we made sure we left a tip on the table although Costa Rica is not a tipping country. We did the La Fortuna Waterfall, Hanging bridges and lunch package as well as the Pure Trek Rapelling. (my favorite!!). Keep in mind if you do the Rapelling you will have to hike up and down a lot of steps (more than the waterfall). I'm a healthy 54 year old fitness instructor and I was breathing heavy! Pack light clothes for dinner(sundresses, nicer shorts) and gym shorts tank tops for the day time. .Uber is only a 5 dollar car ride into town. Check out Chante Verde for lunch! Buy souvenirs at the Super Mega grocery store (not the first one you see) for better prices. Some people were concerned about the weather but it wasn't an issue for us. We booked our excursions for the morning and light rain in the afternoon some heavy rain at night. I brought keens sandals (bring sneakers for excursions) and sandals for evening. They have umbrellas. I bought a poncho and never wore it. Please feel free to ask questions! Pura Vida!
