The grounds, the room, the food and spa were amazing!

This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed:) The staff is amazing. The food is great and it’s the ultimate relaxation place. I cannot wait to come back:) I went solo but I also think this would be an incredible romantic getaway. I loved the little pool outside of my room, too. Everything was perfect:)

Exceptional Hotel

I’ve stayed in many very good hotels, but this one is truly special. So much attention to detail and the staff was absolutely amazing, very warm and welcoming. The resort with its vegetation is stunning, perfectly maintained and super clean. You can really see how much love and effort went into this. Our stay was perfect and exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to visit again.

Nayara experience, drive and tours

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Stayed one night at the Nayara gardens after staying at the Tabacon hot springs for two nights. Tabacon has the famous warm river to enjoy and we really liked it. The Nayara is a different experience and glad we stayed there after Tabacon. The resort and staff is amazing!!! I booked the rainforest room and it was luxurious! You don't have to leave you room to enjoy the spa and views. To get around, you call for a golf cart driver and they will also give you a tour of the property. After a delicious meal, I asked for a frog tour and they drove us to a spot where we saw a bunch of tree frogs at night!! Even saw an Armadillo on the road! The next day our driver showed us sloths, monkeys, iguanas and took us to see birds at a bird feeding area. That was a nice touch to the wonderful stay!! Regarding getting there, we decided to rent a car in San Jose. I started the process online and got a compact SUV from Alamo for around $115 I think for 5 days. That was cheap but I found out after checking You Tube to be aware of the insurance requirements. I then added Third party Liability which made the total to over $200. After arriving, I decided to get the full blown peace of mind insurance which came out to $500. Since I was in a foreign country and first time in Costa Rica, I thought that was a good idea since the road there was pretty gnarly!! Not sure if I would recommend renting a car but it worked out for us. We really lucked out with no rain during the drive up and back. Waze also worked and good thing I saved the places ahead of time to get to the spots. We got to go on tours at our own time so it was good for us. As far as the tours, the Bogarin trail was the best! We saw a bunch of sloths of course but we saw Toucans, an owl, the Jesus Christ lizard, poison dart frogs, the famous red eye tree frog, an Agouti and even a Fer de Lance snake curled up. Sloth territory was good for sloth viewing but that was it. We also went to the Don Juan coffee and chocolate tour which was good. Glad we picked that tour since it is covered and it was pouring rain!! Have fun!!

Supper Duper

The staff super friendly. The room was fabulous and amazing with super size bath area. Ours was a break fast included option and the breakfast did not disappoint us even though we are strictly vegetarian. The staff were always there to help us. Though Knowledge of Spanish is always a plus but English is okay in most of the places.

This is a gorgeous property . There are many Hot tubs, and pools, several Hot Springs, many restaurants, a fitness center, a yoga center and so many luscious tropical plants. It is such a beautiful and well maintained place. The staff is so kind and helpful. I loved our room with large private pool and private outdoor showers. Spacious rooms with beautiful outdoor spaces.
