Our 35 villas are 1,500 square feet of pure luxury, romance, and privacy. These villas offer the ultimate experience with a private plunge pool fed by water directly from the volcano which is some of the purest in the world. The room includes complimentary breakfast, minibar, laundry, daily yoga classes, and your very own personal host! Nayara Springs is an adult-only luxurious property with many unique and exclusive features. The hotel has two savory restaurants; Amor Loco and Mis Amores. In Amor Loco guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine while sitting by the pool or dining inside with live music seven nights a week. Mis Amores is our casual Italian fare restaurant with a beautiful direct view of the Volcano which is also connected to our new swim-up pool bar Cielito Lindo. Nayara Springs also has its own coffee bar; the coffee is a Nayara Signature that can only be found on the property. Guests can also enjoy our open-air yoga pavilion or work on their fitness at our new state-of-the-art-gym. Nayara Springs is connected by two footbridges perched 150 feet high, above the rainforest canopy to our sister property Nayara Gardens.

The resort is exceptional! In addition to the manicured grounds, gorgeous backdrop and rich wildlife, there were a number of extra fine points touches which impressed us. Before I tell you about them, however I want to say that there is one major downside - if you are going to another resort after that, as many people do, Nayara Springs will ruin that for you. It makes every other resort pale in comparison and there is a high likelihood the other resort will disappoint you. We spoke with a number of people while in Costa Rica who had done exactly what we did (stay at Nayara a few nights and follow with one or more other resorts) and not one of them (not one!) was content with the second or third resort because of how they didn’t live up to the Nayara experience. Now that I got this out of the way, here are a few special pointers for Nayara. - We stayed at Nayara Springs (the adult only) section but walked for miles around the property every day. All the 3 are beautiful! We had Villa 10. - We had our own tequila from the duty free (Don Julio bottle was $55 at the duty free and was $/shot glass at the resort). The resort had given us plastic shot glasses for the room and we wanted glass. We stopped by the bar to ask for glass ones and they didn’t have extra so we walked away. By the time we got back to our villa, the glass shot glasses were waiting for us! We didn’t ask for that, we didn’t provide our names or villa number to the employee! That was such a lovely touch! - The villas have towel warming racks. The button is on the top right side and it’s a great way to have fresh warm towels! Also great for drying swimsuits, but make sure you put them over a towel or they may melt - The villa walls are on the thin side. If someone is at the pool of the villas next to you, even if they re talking with low voices, you can hear them. You can also easily hear chirping of birds, frogs and bugs which is super cute. The only exception was a frog that chirps exactly like a low battery. Smoke alarm. That frog was camping out outside of our villa and would start chirping every night when we went to bed. The sound is exactly like you have a low battery smoke alarm and it’s exactly the same intervals. You can also hear reviving motorcycles going up the hills. Typically morning and evening. It’s employees going to work or going home and dozens of them use motorcycles. - The pizza at Mis Amores was to die for! We had the truffle one - the dough is black and the flavors are absolutely out of this world! The eggs Benedict at Mis Amores with smoked trout were also exceptional. I also must mention the Bircher muesli - just over the top delicious! There were too many memorable meals to list but these I will remember forever. Service was great too - At Amore Loco, you have an option to do either 7 course dinner or 4 course. I wish we knew that. We were pushed into the 7 and it was never made clear that there was a choice. The food was again truly exceptional. The presentation was top notch. It was just a bit too much - if we hadn’t rushed at the end, it would have been over 3 hours! I was getting very tired of it towards the end and it was getting past our bedtime. So if you are ok with 3 hr+ dinner and learning details about your elaborate food, this is definitely for you! The meal was $160 per person before drinks, taxes and tips. The quality and presentation of the food were exceptional no so was the service. It was just us really that felt like it was too long After Nayara we went to another 5 star resort and we were shocked by the difference in service. The little personal touches, the wow factor…Nayara had them all and it’s very difficult for most resorts to reach that level. We kept comparing our second resort to Nayara and talking about how things were different. We met another couple who also went to another resort after Nayara…we ran into them at the airport. They had a very similar experience where Nayara had set the bar so high, it was impossible to even meet, let alone exceed. Fabulous resort, great employees, beautiful environment. Thank you, Nayara Springs!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, and seen creatures I’ve only caught on documentaries. The service was impeccable, the staff is incredibly friendly. Fernando at the front desk was fun, informative and very helpful. We will be returning as soon as we can!

We went to Nayara springs to celebrate my husband’s birthday and as new empty nesters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villas was spacious with hot spring in our own pool. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The very best part is their staff. The price point is a bit higher than I wanted to pay, however, the complimentary daily laundry, mini bar and onsite activities like the sloth talk made it worthwhile. It’s the best place to stay in Costa Rica.

An incredible resort. The nicest staff and a beautiful property. Our room was amazing, the tours which they had set up were amazing, and the pools and food were great. You have to try their coffee... we don't normally drink it but it is just different and better there.

This resort is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The customer service is TOP NOTCH! We went with a group of 4 couples hosting a travel group. We need extra services for our group and they made it happen! Every one was very welcoming and aims to please their guests. You must get the rooms with the lounge pool with views of the volcano. The hot springs is an experience in itself. I don't travel to the same places often, but I would come back here again!
