Beautiful and convenient location. Able to walk everywhere we wanted to. Uncomfortable bed. Excellent food for Easter brunch, but overpriced…no alcoholic beverages included. Also excellent food from event services, where we attended a wedding. Great valet and bell service. Interesting history. Expensive but worth a visit.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! We’ve been living in La Jolla for years, but we have a lot of family who visit us from Europe and the US. Over the past year, your amazing manager, Bujar Bylykbashi, has been a lifesaver for our guests and friends. Bujar has gone above and beyond for everyone, and they all know him because of his incredible service and knowledge. Because of him, we’re investing more in the hotel by offering breakfast to our employees and having our work meetings there. The company is so lucky to have such a fantastic manager like Bujar!

We had dinner earlier and were walking around the town of La Jolla. We noticed the pink hotel La Valencia. It was so pretty and pink even at night, We decided to go to the bar and have a night cap and listen to some live music. It was very nice. We walked around a bit to see the exterior and it looks like a great place to stay in the middle of town. We are going to check out the rooms for our next visit. Highly recommend checking it out at least for a drink.

The hotel has an excellent location close to the water and restaurants. However, as an old hotel it has some issues. The rooms in the main tower building had a terrible odor of mold/mildew. We tried two rooms and it was the same. The manager was great and moved us to a Villa room which is a much newer room and it had no odor. Also, the rooms could use bigger TVs and the online checkout didn’t work properly. The hotel just needs some upgrades.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at La Valencia. We had an ocean room view with a balcony. Our first room was a classic and it left a lot to be desired- there was a weird smell and so we chose to pay to upgrade our room. We loved opening the window to hear the ocean and the view was gorgeous! The staff everywhere in the hotel was so friendly and we really enjoyed using the pool and hot tub. My only other complaints are that for the price of room, I would have expected a better coffee machine and soap/shampoo options in the room when I compare it to other stays I’ve had at comparable rates. That’s not a deal breaker for me though and would absolutely love to stay here again.

Just had a great vacation! Loved La Valencia Hotel...so nostalgic and very well done! Our room was in the West Wing with two queen beds, down pillows and crisp hi thread count sheets; it was a completely refurbished room that still maintained it's history. The staff, from the moment we pulled up throughout the very end of our stay, was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The grounds were impeccable and in a perfect location...on one side is the ocean and the other the village. We would definitely stay there again!
