Reviews on the hotel: Warning long 😆 We were at the family side but did do 2 dining reservations on the adult side. Pros: Fantastic staff especially entertainment. Definitely will try to learn to speak spanish before next trip if go back to DR bc there are lots of staff members that dont speak much english. Activities day and night. (You cannot be bored at this hotel its not possible) Fantastic housekeeping staff and turndown staff so thorough and friendly. Beautiful clean resort, theyre always cleaning or painting or fixing, everything is very tidy. Lots of options for food night and day. Pros of a butler: They can make you reservations for meals so you dont have to wait long periods. They can setup cabana rentals .They will setup room for bday/anniversary and can order special cake through. Any issues you are having they can try to help with. They will bring a cooler of whatever want to drink and fruit platter daily and specialty drinks in a pineapple etc. We had a great butler Victor highly recommend. He saved our trip! Lots of picture spots as the resort is gorgeous. Cons: The chair reserving system is insane never seen it so crazy 🤪. One day they removed stuff bc people were complaining and it caused guests to argue so back to a free for all. If you want chairs reserve early bc people start between 4-5am 🤦♀️. People reserve chairs at both the pool and the beach and will sometimes leave chairs for 4-6 hrs at a time 🤦♀️. We rented a cabana after first 2 days to avoid this craziness. Lots of rude guests between chair thing and many others, never seen anything like it. Guests pushing down kids to get their kids to the front for a pic with a princess or pirate from a show or during the Easter egg hunt. Guests cutting to the front at pizza hut. Guests taking pool floats and claiming they are for everyone and resort provided when I brought from home 🤦♀️. This is not the resorts fault but everyone try to be kind, its not an emergency where need to knock over a 5 yr old for a picture or a plastic egg 🤦♀️. If you want a pool float bring one or buy from giftshop or try to get left behind ones clearly left behind not sitting on a guests chair for 2 minutes while went to bathroom 🤦♀️. Food is hit or miss. We liked The Italian and The Grill. The Hibachi was ok its not a show or anything but food is decent. The sushi restaurant made us sick avoid that and the food at the French restaurant was not great. The buffet was ok as far as buffets go. The peruvian restaurant was ok too. FAQ: Is enclave worth the money if not getting free with Diamond membership? No inmho, the beach is off to the side with no water access and the pool is pushed back and no direct access to activities. The lounge was underwhelming (it does not have a chocolate fountain like someone mentioned thats at the buffet only). We went in a few times each day just bc had included but rarely got anything except marshmallows for my toddler 😆 . Would we go back, 🤷♀️ not sure, we like to try different resorts and only go back if truly extraordinary like Couples in Jamaica. Any questions feel free to ask, we were there for a week.

We had a fantastic experience as a family of four, enjoying our first trip to the DR. We enjoyed lounging poolside, swimming and snorkeling in the gorgeous sea, and dining at a variety of restaurants. The best part? Victor Val as our host, guiding us and keeping us refreshed and cared for every step of the way.
