Fun in La Romana

The report is beautiful. The grounds, beach and pools are beautiful. Our room in building 4 was clean and adequate. Room 4216. The food selection and variety was incredible. But the most wonderful part of the stay was the service. All Hilton employees went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Most remarkable was Diomedry who brought us delicious drinks at the beach. Her personality exudes happiness. We just called her “Happy”. I am grateful we experienced her joy while she served. At Spice, Mariano and Miguel provided breakfast service daily for our party of 8 that was spectacular. The service at the resort was fantastic. Jose at the Italian and French restaurant area. Pablo in activities. Ricardo welcomed us on arrival. This was a great all inclusive resort. I did have a negative experience with a meal related illness that was no fun. We had M&M's in our room on day one but no other days although the other couples in our party received daily. But we loved the resort and service were otherwise amazing.

My husband and I and three teenagers stayed on the family side 12/21/24 through 12/27. We were Enclave. We had two rooms in building 7. They could not honor the request for connecting rooms, which was fine since one room was two 18 year olds, so they didn't need to be right next to us, but something to consider for bigger families reserving two rooms. We had one room on the third floor with a king bed and pull out couch - there are very high cathedral ceilings on the 3rd floor. The other room had two queen beds on the 2nd floor. Checking in, even in the Enclave lounge was a huge hassle after a long travel day. Took about an hour and a half. We had reserved partial ocean view rooms, and they were trying to charge us an extra $500 per room for the partial ocean view. Took a very long time to sort that out. (note: not worth paying extra for a partial ocean view, it was a very slim view of the ocean from building 7). Also we had reserved our airport transfer directly through Transekur as it was a bit cheaper than through the hotel, but they were trying to get us to sign off on the payment for that on check in. That also took a long time to sort out and prove that we'd already paid online. In the end, they ended up offering us a butler for the week to apologize for the inconvenience. The rooms were nice and clean, with a view of the family enclave pool. The property is pretty and well maintained and the beach is beautiful. No issues with sargassum that we had when we stayed in punta cana years ago. We found the staff to be very friendly. The resort was at capacity while we were there but it never felt too crowded. We paid for a pool cabana 2 days while we were there and a beach cabana 1 day. It was pricey while we were there but we really enjoyed knowing we had that dedicated space, and enjoyed our butler bringing us a fruit platter there and our preferred beverages in a cooler. They really ought to order fitted large towels to put fresh on those cabanas in the AM, as we've had at other resorts. On the days we didn't have the cabana, it was easy to get seats around 8am, a little trickier but doable later than that. We liked the family pool for a fun atmosphere, the enclave family pool for a more serene ambiance, and the family beach. We never used the family enclave beach - it felt too tucked away from the ocean IMO.

Just about to leave to go back home to the UK. We have had the most amazing time at the Hilton La Romana family resort. What a lovely setting the most beautiful beach I have seen. The resort is kept spotless by all the hard working grounds keepers. The room were keep beautifully clean everyday. We stop in room 7105, our maid did an excellent job every day. I just want to mention some staff members who have made our stay extra special, first the main buffet Carlos Francisco, Nayeli Ortiz and Bienvenido Cordonea were amazing every day and my 8 year son adored them. Also we spent most our days at the Family Enclave pool, again they worked so hard and made everyday special for us. Emilia, Yesenia, Ignacia, Domirca and Antonio , i hope i have spelt your names correctly. (Enclave family). You were brilliant looking after myself, my husband, and especially our son. You definitely made our staff. We will be returning to the Hilton La Romana family resort in the near future. Thank you ❤️

Biennenido from the buffet was so attentive and provide excellent service. Kids loved him. The hotel is excellent!!! Everything the beach, the pool, the buffet and rooms. Water park over the sky!!! We will definitely come back!! Food was delicious and stuff if super professional

Great Staff and Resort

We had a great time. The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond for their guests. I love massages on vacation -BUT this place had the bestttt massage Ive ever had on vaca!! Also, There was a guy named Bienvenido at the buffet that made my kids feel so special. He would talk to them and joke with them, but also got us whatever we needed. Loved this resort and we will be back.
