A private residential paradise on a three-acre oceanfront estate, Maui's Puunoa Beach Estates invites you to enjoy the freedom of private home living in a magical resort setting. On three landscaped acres, just ten luxurious town homes are distinguished by their own distinctive décor. Koa wood accents and sloped wood ceilings complement private beachfront lanais, whose spectacular views span across the beach to the offshore islands of Lanai and Molokai. Set your own schedule and enjoy your holiday on your own terms, but by no means sacrifice amenities, such as daily maid service and a concierge.

We have been spoiled! Our 3 bedroom unit was spacious and had everything we needed. Paula the manager goes out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. We really liked the location. I felt like we had our own beach. Being able to walk to restaurants was wonderful too. I highly recommend the Lahaina Grill (get your reservations months in advance) In the past we have stayed in Kaanapali and Wailea. I like Puunoa on Baby Beach the best because you're not fighting crowds and it's just so relaxing. We will never stay at a big resort after being spoiled at Puunoa!

Our family of 10 are enjoying the most incredible vacation imaginable. We rented two of the units, both 3-bedrooms, and felt like celebrities. I can’t say enough about Paula, the on-site manager who anticipates your every need. She goes well beyond expectations to ensure the whole experience at Puunoa is magical and memorable. Being able to walk out the patio door and be on the beach, without navigating hotel elevators, fighting for a chair at the pool, paying hotel restaurant prices for each meal...amazing! Especially during the Covid concerns we appreciate being together yet away from crowds. I’ve been to Maui many times but this week at Puunoa will always rank the highest of them all.

Lahaina is amazing as i Maui as a whole. Staying at Puunoa makes it even better still. Very small and therefore privacy guaranteed while being ablo to snorkel at baby beach straight in front of your room as turtles pass you by......does life get any better? The units are a little outdates maybe on the inside but maintenance is impeccable and you have a LOT of space.......very very highly recommended

Wonderful amenities and great location. Easy access to Baby Beach and walking distance to Lahaina. Baby Beach is protected by a large, almost impenetrable, reef. This provides an ideal environment for snorkeling but less than ideal for paddle boarding. A fall from the board would surely result in injury because of the shallow reef.

We just returned from 10 days in #105, bottom floor, end unit. It was just my husband and myself. The unit was gorgeous, clean, huge. On the TA snapshot of Puunoa amenities it says "kitchenette". Unit 105 has a large, full, well appointed kitchen. Full size oven, large drawer refrigerator, dishwasher, 3 coffee pots! The bed and linens were comfy. A lovely place. This is why I say it's not for everyone. PBE sits on Baby Beach which is very calm and shallow. Consequently it's always full of small (read "noisy") kids, and it gets quite busy even in January. There is a rental house next door (maybe 12 ft away?) and while we were there there was a family in it that spend a fair amount of time screaming at their toddler, and him screaming back. Maybe this would not have been an issue if we weren't in the end unit closest to them. Also there is something under construction directly behind the next door rental. It's covered with tar paper so you can't see what it is but we were woken more than once by saws, hammers etc. Also maybe not an issue if you're not in the end unit. There was another issue while we were there that was a little disconcerting. As soon as the sun set (gorgeously BTW) and Baby Beach was mostly deserted, the homeless would move in. Sometimes setting up tents, hammocks, etc. One night they started a campfire and nearly smoked us out. They were mostly considerate, tho, not too noisy. We couldn't really see them from the bottom unit because of the hedge between us and the beach, but I imagine those in 2nd or 3rd floor units got a better view. My husband would see them every morning when he went for his early walk, asleep on the beach. We never felt unsafe, though. There is a gate between our condos and the beach too. I really hate saying anything bad about PBE. Despite all this, we had a great stay. If we still had small kids it would be a great place to visit, but right now especially with the construction, I would not rent an end unit. And, unless we bring our grandkids to Maui, we would not stay at PBE again.
