Check in issues & strong sewer odor in foyer & elevator

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

Pros-pretty setting, lovely king suite & no odor in hallway & room. We also enjoyed the ability to walk to the restaurants & had we stayed longer we would have tried them for dinner. We liked da Remo for breakfast. Cons-we arranged for a Sat 4pm check in as we were in town for one night due to a meeting, the hotel was full & couldn’t check in until 5:30. Had to move dinner reservations on the strip which is 40 min drive.,They did comp the resort fee but I wanted time to get ready which didn’t happen, total bummer. Also there’s a strong sewer odor in the foyer & elevator. Thankfully, it did not permeate to the hallways or in the room. If it had, we would have left.

Beautiful location but very outdated facility. Shops in the complex closed. Casino closed down. And the entire place smelled like sewer gas. Front desk said it might be the lake which is false as outside didnt smell at all just inside in the hallways and ballroom and rooms. So bad we felt sick. Too bad they don't renovate and bring this up to date. Bugs in room and all over in halls. See photo of table by the elevator.

Bad Experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We checked in to the hotel on 3-31-25 for a four day stay and when we arrived the hotel was a complete ghost town with three cars were in the lot including ours. The parking lot was full of debris like it had not been cleaned in a couple of months. We went to the registration desk and the lady working was pleasant when registering as well as the doorman. Every other employee we interacted with had zero customer service skills. After we checked in we walked around the grounds and the shops. All the shops were closed and some were out of business. One cafe was open along with an ice cream parlor. All water sports were closed also. We decided to go sit in the jacuzzi and discovered it was torn apart and out of order. We went back to our room and upon getting in the shower discovered the shampoo and bath gel were completely empty and mold was in the shower. The room was very dirty around the baseboards and a table had a broken leg. A staff member brought up replacements the first evening. The next morning my wife discovered the lotion was also completely empty. I have never been this disappointed with a Hilton hotel until now. After our third day we decided to check out a day early knowing we would still be charged for the stay. The desk clerk never inquired why we were leaving early. After returning home the hotel charged us tax and a resort fee for the day we didn't stay. A resort fee should’ve never been charged at all because most amenities weren’t even available. You will notice no one will even bother to respond to most of the reviews on here because apparently they don't care. Helpful 0 Thanks 0 Love this 0 Visit Website Oh no 0

Fun Weekend Staycation!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had a fun Weekend staycation at Hilton Lake Las Vegas! My family and I had stayed here many times and we always enjoyed it. Upon checked in we were told that we were chosen as guest of the day and got upgraded to a king suite which is a pleasant surprise. Great guest experience once we got to our room they checked if everything is good and if we need anything just call. Next day they checked again is we need anything. We always dine at the onsite Restaurant - Medici Cafe and we always enjoyed the food my husband usually orders steak and it’s delicious, I also enjoyed the sea bass. Staff at the restaurant are amazing whether it’s dinner or breakfast everyone is accommodating and provide great customer service. on weekends they also have buffet breakfast so we always avail it, as Hilton Honors Diamond member we get room credit towards food and beverage so why not use it! If you are looking for a place to relax and away from the strip, this is a great option. I would definitely come here again specially during the summer when more activities is happening in the area.

Wonderful Resort

This place is beautiful! It’s about a 25-30 minute drive from the Strip. It’s about 30 minutes to the Hoover Dam and 40 minutes or so to Red Rock Canyon. The staff was awesome, breakfast was delicious at the Medici Cafe, the entire property and village is just so cool, convenient, and peaceful. You don’t feel like you’re in Vegas at all. I’m sure this place is more lively during the busy season, but I’d enjoy staying here during any season. I was intrigued watching the bats fly around the Ponte Vecchio bridge at night. The room was so comfortable, clean, and spacious. Parking in the structure was a breeze and totally accessible to the hotel from the 3rd floor. Didn’t feel the need for Valet. Enjoyed our balcony view. I will stay here any chance I get when visiting Las Vegas.
