A symbol of Rocky Mountain splendor for more than a century, Fairmont Banff Springs embodies peace of mind. This secluded escape in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies is styled after a Scottish baronial castle. From cozy guest rooms tucked into castle corners to spacious suites with sweeping views, you(TM)ll marvel at the level of luxury. Roaming elk, the Willow Stream spa and a wealth of fine dining make this a fascinatingly diverse escape.

Called into the Rundle bar for a few drinks. Just an incredible, friendly service from the guy (Henry) that served us. This hotel needs more staff with his integrity, friendliness and professional approach. An easy five star review, earned by himself ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely, everything I dreamed of for Christmas but, for the first time in many years, it didn't snow on Christmas Day in Banff. Not that it mattered, this hotel put on Christmas anyway and it was just magical! I travelled solo but stayed here for 3nts and checked in as part of a larger group. The hotel was pretty majestic and Christmas in 'The Castle' as it's known, was very special. Santa and Mrs Claus wandered the huge hallways chatting with guests, the hotel was beautifully decorated everywhere with good, old fashioned baubles and ornaments with Christmassy events throughout the season, including carols in the Great Hall on Christmas Eve! It brought back many childhood memories. Even a Christmas stocking filled with lots of little gifts, was left on my bedroom door that night, compliments of Fairmont Hotels. My room was on the 9th (top) floor with magnificent views overlooking the partially frozen Bow River and Mount Rundle. The windows in my room were quite small but it didn't stop me from getting some great photos of the snow capped mountains at sunrise! Even though the room had clearly been updated over the years, it didn't detract from the hotels olde worlde charm. The bathroom was pretty small too, but being on my own, it was perfect. Every evening was spent eating and drinking and being merry! The Rundle Bar was buzzing all day and night, but never overwhelming. Their afternoon tea was delicious. The buffet dinner in the Vermillion Room served everything from snacks to seafood and Christmas fayre and so much more. Breakfast was just as amazing! Just outside the Vermillion Room is a skating rink and the Sugar Shack opens at 5pm selling hot drinks and warm cocktails. There are several other restaurants at the hotel, but I did not have the time to experience them all, including a 'Glass Dome' table outside for private dining. If you want to take a trip into the Banff township, there is local bus located a few steps from the entrance to the hotel. Even though the hotel was very busy, I never once felt surrounded tourists. I would love to stay here again one day, but for now, it's an experience I will never forget.

Came for a weekend getaway for skiing. Unfortunately stepped on broken glass present in our room and cut my foot. Had to wait a while for staff to take a look. The reaction of staff was not very attentive or willing to accommodate. Wasn’t able to go skiing the next day.

Entirely frustrating and disheartening experience. My husband and I booked a celebratory weekend with the gold experience at the Banff Springs. Understand it was a last minute trip and booked around 4pm as we got very good news that day and wanted to celebrate. Unfortunately the hotel was unable to adapt to a same day booking. They had no rooms available, nor available in the upgraded category through Amex fine hotels and resorts. For the incredibly high price, why allow it to be booked? We couldn’t get a room for 2 hours from arrival around 6, keeping in mind booking through Amex aims a noon check in. Not only that, the staff were incredibly flippant and honestly quite rude for a “gold” experience. They offered for us to sit in the lounge, but sorry, not pet friendly. We waited in the car. Our belongings however were left on a bell cart in an open hallway where multiple people walked by and had access to. I hoped for a wow-worthy experience at one of the most iconic hotels in Canada, but so far we’ve had a significantly better experience at the Moxy in town.

Highly recommend! We enjoyed big tea and the infamous “rumble gin” drink at the Rumble Bar-even purchased a bottle to take home! The massage at the spa by MJ was the highlight of my trip - followed by a relaxing afternoon at the spa amenities! Showered and dressed for the evening in the spa before riding the gondola for romantic dinner at Skyline Bistro.
