The Danna Langkawi, Malaysia

Gorgeous, perfect hotel. I came here following a work trip to Singapore. Hotel is gorgeous and peaceful. The food is very good. The weather was spotty, but that didn’t take away from the restful atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and food is quite good. Breakfast buffet was amazing. I usually stay at Marriott brand, but am so glad I chose this hotel instead.

Staff and warm and welcoming, no request is too much. We went the year before as a couple, and this time with our 5 and 7 year old and both visits were equally amazing. The kids club is amazing and it was easily one of the highlight of the trip for the kids. Pool is fantastic with various sections for adults and children alike. Water equipment rental is more expensive than what you would get down in the main beach area but you're paying for the convenience and privacy of the bay so very worth it especially with young kids. Best part is the huge bath with windows overlooking the hills/sea while you soak! Overall food is 4/5, but breakfast croissants are a MUST. Easy enough to get to from the airport when you book direct you get return airport transfers and it's only about 15-20 minutes away. A wonderful place to escape to for as long as you need.

Right from when the gong rang to signal a new guest arrival and the doors opened to this gorgeous hotel, did the start of our wonderfully relaxing holiday began. Our cases were dispatched directly to our room whilst we received a warm welcome including speciality tea/ biscuits and a shoulder massage upon check in. Our room was awesome with twin sinks, bath and a huge shower. There was a huge bed and plenty of space. This included 3 bottles of water which were continually replaced, tea & coffee and also home made truffles! There was a welcome gift, a cuddly monkey and also the use of a jute bag to carry all our belongings to the pool and beach. The service was amazing from all the Danna team everywhere including the pool bar, towel hand out station and beach. We were b&b and heaps of breakfast choice. We also didn't stray outside Planters restaurant for dinner as the buffet choice of food is excellent as is the quality. We could have chosen a la carte or 2 of the other restaurants but everything was amazing. There are free water stations around the pool and during the afternoon a guy comes around offering free ice lollies, sandwhiches, mousse and other tasty treats. We spent most evenings in the Portman bar with happy hour 5-7 before dinner and returning after dinner to the capable hands of Debs and another colleague who knew where we wanted to sit and drink before we'd ordered...now that's what I call service! The band played popular tunes that entertained us and everyone else without being intrusive. I visited the spa 3 times receiving excellent massage and a pedicure and this was such a relaxing experience, especially as we'd made use of the spotlessly clean and well equipped gym. It's the little details that make the Danna stand out and I'm not surprised they've won many awards as they are definitely top class. Well done everyone ❤️

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful hotel, wonderful and hospitable staff and excellent food. We ate at the restaurant every night and it was delicious. The pool is large and staff are always on hand to support with anything you need. If you are thinking of booking, don’t hesitate!

Had a fantastic experience at the Citarasa Danna buffet. The food was overall good, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. But the real star of the night for me was definitely the tiramisu!!! Made with love & quality ingredients by Chef Sapizal & Mohitha. The texture was perfect, and the balance of flavors made it an unforgettable treat. I loveddd it so much that I had three plates of it 🤤 On top of that, the staffs were incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend! 👍
