The majesty and mystery of an ancient rainforest contrasted by the sparkling Andaman Sea create the beautiful backdrop of The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi. The 5-star hotel blends Malaysian touches throughout the guest experience. Locally inspired treatments at the island’s only overwater spa, activities that engage with the culture, dining that draws from tradition and luxury accommodations with rainforest views from every angle are what make a stay at this hotel an unforgettable experience.

Choosing the Ritz- Carlton was definitely a good choice. The hotel not only met but exceeded our expectations. The hotel is built in a gorgeous oasis of greenery in harmony with nature. Beautifully maintained grounds and lots of local wildlife. Yes the monkeys are cheeky but they are not dangerous. Don't try to feed them and they will go on their way. Very attentive and friendly staff throughout the hotel ready to help you in any way. The grounds are extensive but helpful staff is always ready give you a buggy ride to wherever you want to go. The resort has several restaurants and it is worth visiting each one. You will not be disappointed. The food is fantastic and you can discover all the flavours of Malaysia. The hotel has an excellent beach and excellent swimming pools for adults and childrens alike. The hotel is also conveniently located when you want to visit local attractions such as the cable car or the Killim geoforest park. Just contact the staff and they will arrange it for you.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was fantastic. The service was outstanding, and the resort's stunning views of lush forests meeting the beautiful beach provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The luxurious accommodations were excellent. However, two minor points to note: the swimming pool was quite cold, and it would be great to have a heater installed as an option for guests. Additionally, the dining options were somewhat limited, especially regarding Arabic cuisine, which I would love to see it on our next visit to the resort. Overall, a wonderful getaway that i highly recommend. Special thanks to Mr. Haniff, Mis. Sara, Mr. Ali and rest of the resort team for the hospitality and unlimited assistance.

I celebrated my 60th Birthday at the hotel and wow! it certainly delivered. The service is exceptional & very personal touch. At first it was quite a shock, but quickly we relaxed in and much appreciated the attentiveness. The property is gorgeous, many options on catering and the rooms/ suites are super spacious. You really find out what service is like when you encounter a problems. I temporarily mislaid my watch …. And I can report that the hotel moved heaven and earth to reunite me with it. Specific thanks to Duty Manager Intiqam and all the staff at Horizon. The natural world is something that is unique. We saw some fantastic flora and fauna around the property, ably assisted by Wafiq. And lastly (!) the wellness centre is some architecture. Huge wooden replicas of fishing pots floating over the sea and there Meza gave very skilled therapeutic treatments What can i say … i want to go back ……. Roll on 61 ?

Just coming to the end of our 16 night Honeymoon and we have truly enjoyed our time here. Food. Without a doubt the quality of the food is exceptional and even though we stayed for 16 nights the menus were diverse enough not to be repetitive. They also cater incredibly well for people with dietary requirements with well explained menus and a willingness to make bespoke ingredient alterations to meals. We were advised to book reservations at the restaurants as they can become very busy. During the week we didn't experience any capacity issues however at weekends it's can become busy. So I would recommend booking a day or two in advance. When we arrived we were given an information leaflet outlining the restaurant opening and closing times, as they are not open every day. Unfortunately, in week two, one of the restaurants was closed for five consecutive days and this was not listed on the information leaflet. This closure did make booking dinner a hassle on one night. However, one night in sixteen is not the end of the world. Nevertheless, some prior warning about the restaurant closure from the hotel would have helped. I have seen several reviews about the breakfast being a bit chaotic. My advice is to have an early breakfast, we went prior to 8.30am and never experienced any capacity issues. But we did see some queues when we were leaving around 9 or 9.30 am. This is true of most hotels when there is a rush of people for a late breakfast. But once you have a table you can expect to have a good breakfast. We were lucky enough to visit the spa of three occasions. Overall, I was impressed with the range of treatments available and the quality. Just be mindfull that the pre treatment facilites are gender segregated while the actual treatments are done as a couple. The hotel runs a number of activities which I think could be improved. There is so much wildlife within the grounds and the activities hardly touch the surface of whats on offer and they are expensive for what they are. We saw loads of monkeys, two types of hornbils, giant and flying squirrles, dolphins, sea otters and a massive monitor lizard just to name a few of the higlights. In addition, i dont think the hotel should charge guests to rent kayaks, far cheaper and less luxury hotels offer such things for free. Especially given most people get bored, return the kayak after about 20 mins and grab a much needed cocktail instead. I don't think anyone who comes here will be disappointed. There is no doubt in my mind that the staff are focused on the guests having a good time. And my interactions with the management clearly show that they are incredibly guest focused. This guest focused ethos really sets this hotel apart. During our trip we stayed in both a jungle view room and a sea view villa. Both were fantastic and offered something slightly different. The jungle view offered us the chance to see lots of the wildlife and the sea view villa was just pure luxury.

We stayed a total of 4 days in the resort. From checking in to checking out, everything is a breeze. Service from everyone is impeccable. I meant every single staff from housekeeping, gardener, servers, lobby staff, caddy drivers etc. My husband and I came to a conclusion that this has to be the best and most well-trained staff throughout our years of travelling. It can’t even be compared to those high end hotels or resort we have stayed before. Kudos to everyone who made out stay an exceptional one. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we didn’t even bother to leave the resort for 4 days. We will definitely be back with our kids next time. Last but not least, thank you to Alisha from Spa, Zoe from Lobby, Chef Fazi, Daniel, Syafiq from Beach Grill and David from housekeeping and many more. You all definitely deserved 10 stars or more. Thank you!
