Sublime Samana

Sublime hotel in Samana is a hotel designed for you to have a vacation full of peace and tranquility. The service is excellent and every detail is presented with class and elegance. It has a beautiful pool, a SPA and a restaurante close to the beach and you can have your breakfast with an ocean view. Definetly we have increíble vacation.

As soon as you arrive, everything starts to slow down the beauty of the beach and the surrounding and the service just let you relax within one hour. Usually it takes me hours or days to arrive in a hotel and feel comfortable and really start relaxing. at Sublime it takes me maximum one hour and I am totally out of this world. Never had this experience anywhere else in my life.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Sublime. It was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. We had a visit from the resort nutritionist with perfect timing as I had been recently reevaluating my approach to health. I travel between Texas and Santo Domingo frequently through the year and notice a huge difference in the freshness and nutritiousness of foods between countries. There is a history of diabetes in my family and I was happy to receive such detailed advice from Kristen. This was an added bonus to my stay at Sublime.

Review of Sublime Samaná We stayed for five nights with my husband and a couple of friends. Positives • Gorgeous landscaping: The resort is beautifully maintained with lush greenery. • Rooms: Clean, comfortable, and well-decorated accommodations. • Beach: The private beach is stunning, with plenty of seating and lounging options. • Pools: Lovely swimming pools that provide a relaxing atmosphere. Negatives • No entertainment: There’s nothing to do at the resort without a car, and even the bar outside of the restaurant isn’t open. • Food quality and cost: The food is shockingly overpriced for the quality. Breakfast was particularly disappointing—the worst I’ve ever had at a “5-star” resort. Over five days, I tried everything on the menu, and none of it was good. The eggs Benedict were served on regular bread drenched in an overwhelming amount of sauce, and the pancakes were so hard they were practically inedible. To top it off, the octopus carpaccio we ordered on our first evening was rotten. • Service: Slow and inattentive. We often waited over 40 minutes to be served. Something as simple as ordering coconuts became a hassle, with the staff appearing visibly inconvenienced. • Value for money: We spent $230 for one appetizer (which was spoiled), four drinks, and some fried plantains—completely unreasonable for the experience provided. • Lack of perks for Hyatt Globalists: No upgrades or noticeable benefits despite the SLH affiliation. • Misses the luxury mark: This property strips the “luxury” out of Small Luxury Hotels. In summary, while the resort’s setting and accommodations are beautiful, the poor service, overpriced and subpar food, and lack of amenities or entertainment make Sublime Samaná a disappointing choice for a luxury getaway.

We stayed two nights at Sublime Samana. The resort is superb with an incredible beach. The rooms are huge with a kitchen. The reason for the 4 stars is that the service and food are below average. The breakfast was poor and we even had to send back waffles which were absolutely terrible. This place could be great with better management.
