Fantastic stay at W Las Vegas! The modern and stylish atmosphere, combined with top-notch service, made for a great experience. The rooms were sleek and comfortable, and the amenities were exactly what I needed for both work and relaxation. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again

Sewage in our bathtub and none of the staff seemed to care

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

So I went to Vegas for my 40th birthday with a bunch of friends and we decided to stay at Mandalay Bay. Upon arrival, I was able to upgrade to the W. I had never stayed at one but had heard good things. I was excited. Everything about the room was great until half way through our stay as we were getting ready to meet 12 friends for dinner and a show. Bubbling started in the toilets, then they began to back fill with literal sewage. It started to spew out in the tub and shower as well. You could tell by the smell it was actual human fecal matter. I immediately called the front desk as I put towels down because the toilets were dangerously close to overflowing. I told them about what was happening and I was worried our room was about to be flooded with sewage backing up from the toilet. The front desk person seemed mildly concerned and said she would send someone up. After 20 minutes and not hearing from anyone and no visits from maintenance or housekeeping. We called back down and spoke to another equally unimpressed front desk clerk who also said they would send someone up. After waiting an hour after the original call, we eventually had to leave for our evening plans. We got all our belongings off the floor, turned on the house keeping sign and left. We got back 5 hours later. The house keeping light was still on. All of our towels were still on the floor. It appeared someone came and flushed the toilets and did a poor job at rinsing the shower because there was still a gross film on the floor. The worst part was the tub. The person had maybe rinsed it and taken a towel off the floor, attempted to wipe up the human fecal matter in the tub then just left the sewage filled towel in the tub. We went down to talk to the manager who also seemed rather unconcerned with this problem. He offered us drinks at the bar while he sent housekeeping up. We had to fight to get a new room because I definitely did not want to take a bath in that tub. So at 11pm on a Saturday night in Vegas when I should be celebrating with my friends, I was stuck hauling all our belongings to a new room. When we asked for a refund for that night, the manager was extremely avoidant of giving us any type of compensation for this whole ordeal. He made it seem like he’d be refunding the price of the room but it ended up not even being half of the price, only covering resort fees and upgrade fees for the night. Overall, the lack of urgency and professionalism was disgusting. The sewage in the toilet stopped an inch from the rim of the bowl. If it had not stopped backfilling the room, floor and floors below us would have been flooded with human excrement, which would have cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix. So stay here at your own risk. It was nice until it wasn’t. But don’t expect staff at this hotel to care about your experience or offer to help you in any way.

W Las Vegas: A Disappointing Experience That Falls Short of Expectations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The W Hotel Las Vegas has unfortunately lost its edge and appeal. What was once a beacon of luxury and exceptional service has devolved into just another overpriced hotel on the Strip. Despite the premium price point, the experience fails to deliver value or justify the additional cost compared to more reasonably priced alternatives in the area.

Unimpressed, Adequate

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Checkin was wonderful, Jessica, I think, could not be more helpful getting me into a room early, and just being welcoming and friendly. Props to the team at the checkin desk. A bit downhill from there. Even though this property just became a W a few months ago, the rooms are not renovated--they are 4 star at best, with old showers (that had inconsistent hot water), old furniture (lamps missing bulbs), etc. The room is VERY big- i was in a standard King and it had two bathrooms, a full living room. Bed was comfortable. But 5 star? not particularly. I also had wifi issues, and OK, it happens, but getting someone on the phone to address it was impossible. And of course room service breakfast was over $50 for some bland, poorly plated, soggy "french toast." Not a lux experience, but fine for a 3-4 star stay.

Great stay! Courteous staff. We would definitely stay at the W again.

We stayed Monday through Friday at the W. It was the perfect location for us, a little off the main strip but still centrally located and easy to go to and from other places in Vegas. The housekeeping staff were courteous and helpful with fresh towels etc. Anything we needed, they were available to help. Two separate occasions we ordered room service, the food was delivered quickly and was still warm when it arrived. The coffee bistro in the lobby was good, fresh coffee etc. We had a two room suite, plenty on room for sure! We liked having a full bathroom and a half bathroom to use. We would definitely recommend staying here.
