The Red Rock Casino Resort Spa was named for the majestic Red Rock Mountains at the foot of the resort(TM)s 70 acres of stunning natural desert landscape, in Las Vegas. Paying homage to the elegant desert oasis resorts of the mid- 20th century, the feel of red Rock is classic, cool Las Vegas. Exotic woods, marble, crystal and fabrics adorn each room, and accent the spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip or the Red Rock mountains. The casino is revolutionary, with natural light and an impressive array of game options, the spa is the epitome of tranquility, the dining is an epicurean(TM)s delight; in short, Red Rock offers everything you seek in Vegas, and much more.

I have been going to Vegas for almost 30 years, at least once or twice a year. I have stayed pretty much everywhere and this was my first time to stay at Red Rock and it will be the last. The pictures you see are accurate but only in the sense that the room looks the same. It doesn't show you that the room feels old, the only thing that looks updated or modern is the leather chairs. Those are the nicest things in the room. The bed is very low to the ground and it can't be a full size king bed. It doesn't feel as wide or as long. My husband is 6'1 and his feet were at the very end of the bed. I also didn't like the lighting in the room. There is a light by the desk and it's just not helpful to light the room so you have to use the ones over the bed or beside the bed and they are too bright and there's no way to dim them. On one side of the bed there is a USB plug in but on the other side you have to plug into the clock, that's ok but again you see the room is outdated. The bathrooms are the nicest part of this room, it does have two sinks but there is a very narrow space on each side of the sink and not a lot of space in between the sinks. And to top it off on the morning of December 11 2024 on the 7th floor we had to listen to a jackhammer up above us for a good while. I don't know what was going on, but we checked out early and another couple was doing the same. I couldn't win anything either. Last year when I wasn't staying here I did, now that they comped my room, I lost. I guess they want to get their money for their comped room. Overall, I didn't enjoy it here and I would not stay again.

I decided to redo my review when I wasn’t angry and sleep deprived in order to provide useful feedback that hopefully management can analyze and implement some changes. The pros: beautiful hotel. It is gorgeously decorated and the chandeliers throughout are engineering feats! The Christmas pop up bar is adorable. Overall very clean. The spa is magnificent. Mattresses and pillows are great. The huge con is the noise and the fact that management does not care. We normally stay at the strip but were lured here with the Mountain View’s for a change of pace. This gave us the impression of a “resort and spa with Mountain View’s” equal peace and serenity. You k ow what they assay about assuming. Honestly, we have had less noise at the strip. Apparently on Friday and Saturday nights they play very loud bass thumping music at the pool until 1:30 am so if you are in the mountainside, You will be subjected to this. I wish they would have told us when we made the reservation. I’m not the only “Karen” as two other couples on The elevator this morning were complaining of the same thing. Management told us “too bad, we are an entertainment city”. I suspect that if you have a city view room you wouldn’t have the noise. The real kicker is that there was NO ONE outside. At all! We were on the 16th floor and the sound level was ridiculous. Disappointed in the noise but more disappointed in how management handled it.

I visited 4 times this year flying cross country for the visit. Each time I visited the free play they provided had been reduced. After this last visit I was making my next reservation for January 2025 and they said they would no longer comp me because I didn’t play enough (translated I didn’t lose enough!) The amount they told me I lost was close to 50% less than I actually lost. When I disputed it they said it was my fault as I probably forgot to put in my players card. They only want you there if you lose a lot of money. This is not a casino to establish a relationship with. I’m returning to Boyd’s Casinos who always treat you as a welcomed guest and they are happy to have you in their hotel. They may not be as flashy but definitely much friendlier!

Red Rock is a lovely, well maintained, friendly-staffed hotel away from the strip! Check-in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and better than average - almost suite-sized and pleasantly decorated. My room was clean and ready at 2PM. I love the soaking bathtub - you can look at the porcelain edges and see that the tub is not old - but it was well maintained. The casino is large and airy and the sportsbook is open and fully staffed with lots of large-screen displays. There is 3:2 BJ which is good, and lots of fairly priced video poker games. There is a decent selection of fast food in the food court including Panda Express, and several nice eateries - I didn't go to a restaurant this trip but have in the past. I had a super-sized Impossible-hoagie - I like Impossible whoppers from Burger King (I don't eat beef) but this hoagie was almost flavorless. Perhaps they should be more generous with the onions, sweet peppers, or salt. The casino caters to locals, so it isn't crowded weekdays. When on the strip I like Cosmo or Wynn or Bellagio. Although Red Rock is much further away in distance - it is an easy less than 20 minute drive from the airport during non-rush hours. If you are not a casino-hopper, and are not a big-shot high roller and want to save a few dollars (Red Rock is not cheap but not expensive either) I would strongly recommend Red Rock. The spa is nice too, and has a great scent!

Honestly this was a pretty good stay - nothing out of the ordinary. It is well situated if you need to be in Summerlin. Good rooms, good amenities. The gym was smaller than I would have expected a resort of this size to be. It was crowded. Very minor complaint here. The water pressure was nice which is always a good thing at hotels. The wifi was good but did not extend to the ground floor, so that was pretty annoying to be honest since you spent most of your time on the floor or walking around or at the restaurants. Also very limited food selection early in the morning. Most restaurants dont open until 11 or so. So mornings are tough. But overall the hotel seems nice and fresh. Nothing major to complain about. Solid hotel and would definitely be happy to stay here again.
