We went to this hotel as a family of 5 3 teenagers and two adults. It’s not a 5 star hotel more like a 4. We had a pleasant stay but some things were missing to make it a luxurious experience. Positive Location is good being just two metro stops away from the lake front. The metro is just outside the hotel so really easy. Spa is great lovely indoor/ outdoor pool with water jets. Plunge pool, jacuzzi and multiple steam rooms. The hotel grounds were beautiful with lots of places to sit. Nice food in the bar area for lunch salads etc Negatives We were in the old side of the hotel. Which is beautiful and a connecting glass walkway takes you to the new side of the hotel which is a bit of a eye sore. Rooms we had were a bit tired with split leather and chipped furniture. AC did not work. Beds were rock hard. Housekeeping were really rude. We asked one morning if they could come back as we were going to breakfast in 10 minutes and were tutted at. Breakfast- presentation was poor. Lots of dead flowers everywhere and fruit slopped in trays. After paying £800 a night I was disappointed to have to pay extra for French toast, eggs Benedict and avocado. Dinner - lots of mistakes not what you would expect in a high end restaurant. When having starters 3 of our party were given their starters yet the other two were given mains at the same time. When asked where the other starters were they took the mains away and we waited a further 20 minutes for the starters. When we had the mains the chicken was raw and inedible. A real disappointment. These are all minor things, But things you would not expect in a five star hotel. We would not stay again and would choose a hotel close to the lake next time. They are very small things but We

We didn’t stay at this hotel but we visited just to sit in the lobby. A really lovely atmosphere. First time visiting this hotel and would happily return for another afternoon. We had a lovely waitress and all staff very attentive. Lovely garden area out the back too!

The hotel is fantastic! Great spa. Staff excellent. I loved the hotel. All my requests were met. Highlight for the staff: Marven, Hugo, Laura, Lola, Vicente, Alex, Noeme, Stephanie. I found the restaurant food expensive but it is the Swiss standard. Everything was perfect.

This hotel is a gem. Historical beauty, sparkling clean, staff super helpful and very well located. Gym was also great, sadly i didn’t have time to use hot tub and spa, but looks fantastic! Swimming pool is another great add Highly recommended if you are going to Lausanne.
