JW Marriott Mauritius

Recently stayed at the JW Marriott for my 10th wedding anniversary. It was bliss as always. The staff are very attentive to your every needs. Nothing was ever too much. The managers are seen around to ensure your comfort and well being. The food at the Indian restaurant is really something. We were full but we couldn’t leave before tasting dessert made with so much love by Chef Malik. The suite is very spacious and beautifully designed and very neat.

Our first time here was amazing, so we simply had to come back. Our second time at Marriot Mauritius exceeded our already high expectations. First off, the staff is super attentive, kind, helpful and cater to your every need. The service is very high quality, just what you would expect of a 5star resort, plus we had many perks as repeat guests and personalized surprises since they remembered details about us from the last time. The biggest gratitude about the fantastic hospitality goes to Neha who is both very professional and personable, and always goes the extra mile in accommodating you. She made our vacation very easy on us by providing some tourism advice and arranging all activities in the hotel as well as outside. We were half-board and found that to be enough, especially with the hotel providing small snacks for free on the beach every day. The restaurants were also very good as we had a choice between fine dining options and a bit less fancy options, plus every evening there was a special event in one of the restaurants, so our dinners were always fun and interesting. We got to experience a private teppanyaki session at Atsuko, the chef was especially entertaining. Also, dinner at Indya was consistently great. A special shout out goes to Rao for being extra nice and helpful and suggesting the best food options at the Boathouse. The Boathouse also offers surprisingly amazing artisan pizzas that can by enjoyed while lounging on the beach. The location of the resort is the star of the show, with Le Morne beach being truly the best beach in Mauritius and one of the best in the world. We stepped outside of our villa straight onto a huge stretch of white sand beach, crystal clear water and most importantly - never encountered crowds since the beach is private access only. Even more, a lot of the activities the island provides (on and under water, inland, nature parks, etc.) are on the northern part of the island. All in all, we had a carefree, fun, extra relaxing and perfect time at this resort, already looking forward to being third time guests.

First time in Mauritius and this was our first of two hotels for this trip, so we didn't really know wha to expect. We were greeted by the best airport pickup team, and Saveen drove us to the hotel. His in-depth knowledge of the island's history, culture and geography meant the ride to the hotel was full of real insights to such a beautiful and unique country. He's passion for his diverse country was very refreshing, especially right after our roughly 12 hours of travelling. Neha welcomed us at the lovely resort and took us straight to the villa for the in-villa check-in. Neha was literally in communication with my wife and I the entire stay, making sure that every single aspect of the trip was perfect, and... we have to say it was! Hansley at the beach was so attentive that we never really wanted to leave the beach and do any of the activities out of the resort! We could have stayed with him for many more days. To be honest, I would need to name each and every one of the JW Marriott staff, they all showed the highest level of professionalism. The breakfast at the restaurant is an absolute must, and so is a visit to the Japanese restaurants, where we were very lucky to sit and watch Teppanyaki Chef Milan, what a show! We have been to the Maldives six times, Thailand, and Bali, all at the best of the best resorts, and we can confidently say that our experience at the JW Marriott in Mauritius is one of our favourite stays of all time. We will definitely be back.

We had a perfect stay at JWM. Our check in experience was great and we were contacted as soon as our room was ready. The room was incredible - one of the best I’ve ever stayed in - and I’m lucky enough to say I’ve stayed in some of the best. The gifts, the room, the special touches and the butler - all perfect. The bathroom was huge. The beach was idyllic. Everything has been thought of and more. We tried all the restaurants and they were all perfect. The food was delicious at all the restaurants, the breakfast buffet was never ending and the choice was incredible! The gym was huge and the guys in charge were so friendly and helpful. I honestly couldn’t think of anything you could do to improve your guest experiences thank you so much for such an incredible holiday!
