Applegate Inn is closed

Applegate Inn is now a private residence. We drove by yesterday not knowing this and hoping to go in and maybe take a few photos. We were married in the livingroom of Applegate Inn in 1998. My whole family stayed overnight and it was so lovely. Sad they could not keep in going as an inn.

Peace, tranquility and safety abound at Applegate Inn this summer

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed July 14, 2020

We have been visiting Applegate Inn in Lee, MA to attend cultural events for a number of years. The Inn reopened in June and we visited after July 4. The rooms were immaculate. Pam, the Manager, was always gloved and masked. The grounds are beautiful and the pool delightful and heated. Adjustments have been made for breakfast, but the homemade pastries and expanded continental breakfast more than satisfy. We will be returning again this summer. Many restaurants are serving outdoors and most offer pick up services, so that you can eat at the Inn.

Love this bed and breakfast

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed November 10, 2019

My husband took me the Berkshire Mountains for the weekend. We stayed at the Applegate Inn Bed and Breakfast. I loved our room with the big 4 poster bed and fireplace. The woman, Pam who runs this quaint bed and breakfast could not have been more welcoming. We booked the romance package which included sparkly beverage and chocolate. The breakfasts were delicious and there was also wine and cheese for all at 5PM. Pam also made us dinner reservations at a lovely restaurant for dinner. I would highly recommend this for a weekend getaway,

Elegant AND Comfortable Inn

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed May 3, 2019

This is a quiet, comfortable and cozy B&B located about 1/4 mile outside of downtown Lee. While the owner/innkeepers were not very visible (there were only 3 couples at the Inn this weekend) Pam was a friendly, helpful and efficient presence from breakfast through the evening wine and cheese gathering. The common areas of the Inn are large and comfortable with lots of interesting books and Knick-knacks to look at. We stayed in Room 8 - an absolutely beautiful room with a large four poster bed (with INCREDIBLY soft sheets) and an enormous bathroom, featuring a sizable two-person jacuzzi under a beautiful set of windows. We often stay at Select Registry Inns and this one was among the finest we’ve enjoyed. The wine and cheese gathering at 5pm is a great way to begin the evening and/or wind down from an active adventure in the Berkshires. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay in an elegant but comfortable Inn (and I’ve found it harder than you’d think to find both elegant AND comfortable in the same Inn). We will return.

Great location, friendly staff and services needs refresh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed October 18, 2018

We really enjoyed the beautiful and serene location, the nightly cheese and wine hour and playing parlour games with lots of space to sit and chat. We got the carriage house which was fully self contained very comfortable and warm. Plenty of towels and supplies, great heating. We wouldn’t class it luxury the tvsarelast century old square boxes, and the roof had patched and painted repairs, the bathroom needed a refresh, but it was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a different breakfast everyday, but unfortunately they didn’t serve any meat dishes, so no bacon, but unusual food, and Sunday breakfast was sensational. we would stay there again, but it’s not our version of luxury.
