Horrible experience ! We booked a table to have dinner 3 days in advance. We waited 50 minutes and even the starter did not arrive. However people that arrived after us were all served…! Waitress tried to be nice but we were so fed up we just left …

Used the overwater beach bar for drinks & lunch. Friendly but busy service as no competition on the beach. Sunbeds available for hire but expensive at 20 Euros each. As beach is tiny it gets busy and usually you have to sit on the sand. Sea is clean & clear. If there are a couple of cruise ships and you want a beach day then recommend Les Salines.

Our host recommended this beach so we went there on our last holidays day. I have a baby and as the baby was sleeping I was carrying her in her stroller. This stroller is particularly hard to push on the sand. We spend two hours there and we have paid 20€ for a beach chair and 30€ for a cocktail, a soft drink and 2 ice-creams. Not an issue, life is not cheap at the beach. After 2 hours I had to leave the beach with my baby and her stroller and as if when we arrived we took their wooden deck I thought I should to the same in order to leave that beach. Unfortunately I was stopped in the middle of the way by their bodyguard who tells me this area was private and I had to immediately leave, telling me I had to push the stroller on the sand. I tell him it’s impossible to go on the beach and he continues : you have to immediately leave. Imagine a mother with a heavy stroller, it was hard to climb the deck on the stairs first of all and then I have to descend it and push it on the sand which was impossible. I beg their bodyguard to let me finish my way but he won’t care. I was so close to the exit! Why being so mean??? Finally a gentleman, a man working on the beach came to help. Thank you sir! I won’t ever visit your beach or your hotel again though. Teach your bodyguard to respect mother and baby.

Amazing location, great staff but needs a bit of care and attention and less drug dealers being allowed on the premises! The hotel is in a fabulous location shallow beach ideal for kids. The rooms as have been said before need updating, a lot of the sun loungers are broken, but if u view this hotel as between a 3* and 4* hotel then u can live with that! The staff are great in the main. And easy access via the ferry to fort du France - don’t buy anything from the village shops near the hotel go to the capital as much cheaper in the carrefour or local boutiques I wouldn’t eat in the hotel as overpriced compared to the multiple restaurants 5 mins away but that’s standard. We had an incident on the first day where two drug dealers argued at the beach bar - one of them brazenly approaching people to see if they wanted anything- hey it’s the Caribbean so that’s fine but lots of kids here so fighting with knives drawn is not ok. Isolated incident we were told but the guy apparently hangs around the hotel grounds a lot. But look Martinique is beautiful the location of the hotel is amazing and in the main this is a lovely little place just spruce it up and turn it into something good

Stayed here for a family wedding, the grounds of the hotel are absolutely stunning! The staff around the peppery is also great. The beachfront rooms which are more expensive due to location are in desperate need of an upgrade. Extremely old & dated. Painted over numerous times to mask the age. The air conditioning our room did not at full capacity, even when lowered to 5 degrees Celsius. Exterior door had a inch and a half gap allowing a crab to come into our room at night. There isn’t an elevator accessible & no bellhops so you are also responsible for carrying your own luggage so pack lightly. The breakfast had limited options & they weren’t all available daily. The beach hut bar makes fresh pina colada’s that were amazing! If you are not concerned with where you lay your head, then this is a solid option. If you’re looking for a little bit more desirable property, skip this one.
