Outstanding

Beautiful hotel with impeccable service and well appointed rooms. Greeted by a doorman dressed in traditional garb and the bell staff is extremely helpful. Great breakfast served daily and helpful concierge to make dining reservations anywhere. It’s a 5 euro under ride to pretty much anywhere from this place as it is secluded away from noisy streets. Would recommend for any wanting a luxurious hotel.

Exceptional experience - lovely hotel.

We have just returned from a 3 night, post cruise, stay at the Lapa Palace hotel. We had a 5th floor, river view, room. The whole experience from arrival to departure was fantastic. The helpful, friendly and professional staff are the heart and soul of the hotel and the building itself is simply a work of art. Astonishing service - the Reception and Concierge team are simply exceptional, even for a hotel of this quality. We enjoyed the breakfasts, particularly the fresh fruit & juices and the hot options. The main restaurant offered high quality cuisine and superb service. The snack and bar menu was also impressive and the quality and variety of food were exceptionally good. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and the views were spectacular. Having just left a luxury cruise ship it is unusual to find an even higher standard of accommodation and service on land - Lapa Palace managed to do that for us, It is an outstanding hotel. The location means you need a taxi to get into the centre of Lisbon but that is all sorted by the Concierge and in a few minutes and for about 7 euros, you are right in the lively and colourful centre. There are several exceptional restaurants within a few minutes walk, albeit in hilly & cobbled streets but little else close by other than the various embassies and diplomatic residences. This means the hotel is in a quiet and tranquil location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to return in the not too distant future. This is a very high class but friendly and comfortable base for any visit to Lisbon.

This hotel is amazing. They pay attention to all the details so many I can't even list. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was lacking in nothing, ,the rooms were breathtaking, and there were so many amenities I desired nothing. They staff is fluent in English and were always so helpful. The location is very convenient.

Felt like Royalty

Elegant and stunning former palace now hotel. We felt like royalty from the room with an enormous terrace #504, to the staff, ambiance, service, food and service. Everyone was beyond attentive and friendly. We would recommend this to couples traveling together or separately. What a wonderful way to spend time in beautiful Lisbon.

Always a relaxing place to stay.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoy returning. It is a quiet location but you need to travel to visit most of the Lisbon sights. Staff are always friendly. Rooms are old fashioned but oomfortable - they really need to update the showers to be separate from the bath as water goes everywhere and they are hard to get in and out of. We always look forward to the breakfast although in February they were serving this upstairs and it was not as varied as normal. The room service menu needs a bit more variety and is expensive but staff were very helpful in the bar and we had a good meal there. Always excellent massages in the small spa - we look forward to returning.
