Oh my gosh, Living as Royalty in this gorgeous Palace in Belem. This Hotel was just amazing and stunning on just so many levels, Had no idea when we booked what we were going to stay in but wanted to be on another part of Lisbon before we left for the Airport and be closer on next day. Could not believe our eyes upon arrival. The location and history of how this came to be a hotel was mindboggling. All the rooms were still decorated as if in the day of the owner and made you feel as if a member of the family. Has a chapel on site that was performing a service. The grounds were magnificent. WE signed up for breakfast and (oh my gosh) shocked at the amount and variety of the selection offered to all. People that we met that worked there made it even more delightful to get the history of some of the rooms. Not IF you go but WHEN you go you must look up FERNANDO/ HALIO AND TLURALHAS (mgr.) They will make all the difference in your experience. Don't just think about it ---- BOOK IT -- AND BE AMAZED.

This was such a wonderful experience that I didn’t want it to end. The Palace is exceptional and so beautiful. The gardens are very special and the accommodation is very comfortable and glamorous. But the best part was all the people who took care of us. They were exceptional. From the moment you drive up to the door where you’re greeted by very welcoming people who immediately start pampering you. They welcome you to the Palace and take your luggage and introduce you to the reception desk. Again, a fabulous group of people to check you in and then show you around the property. The bar is really fun and again the service is beyond expectation. The staff at breakfast again were so helpful and welcoming. It was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long, long time. If that was not enough, I discovered I had left my iPad in the suite and the front desk took care of me again. They confirmed it was discovered by the housekeeping staff and would be kept safe till I return next week ( I’m excited to return). Thank you to Bárbara Gonçalves and the entire team for giving us such a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience ! Everything was amazing from the moment I checked in, my suite overlooking the gardens, the great breakfast in the most beautiful room, the outdoor pool and spa and of course the staff and service. Highly recommend this royal palace.

This place was an absolute beautiful place to stay! Customer service was great checking in and they were so nice. It’s kind of a maze at first to figure out how to get to the bar and the breakfast place but you do. Breakfast is great, all the different juice choices are amazing and order the eggs benedict, and bartenders are great as well. Piano player at night in the bar is outstanding. Used to be a castle they turned into a hotel. Just hanging out in one of the lobbies makes you feel like a queen! And the view from the middle one is really beautiful. When you arrive in the room you receive some Port as well as the little custard deserts that are so popular there. Pasteis de Balem still has the best though... Rooms are spacious and I had one with a huge balcony all to myself which was really nice. Had dinner one night in the bar. It was pasta with white sauce and veggies and was so delicious! They have a chapel in the hotel as well which is really pretty! Really amazing pool and spa as well. They also have an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room free to use for any hotel guest. When first arriving at the gate you feel like you are arriving at a castle. You will for sure enjoy your stay!

Beautiful property. Service is five stars. Great pools and gym and wonderful morning breakfast buffet. Would absolutely recommend. Far from the old city—we took an uber — but there are places to walk to to eat and shop nearby. We would return!
