Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade

a luxury hotel conveniently located in central location. staff go out of their way to deliver a warm & friendly welcome...nothing is too much. food is delicious & the metro is located close to the front door. a wonderful experience and will definitely stay there again when we return.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was my birthday and the hotel arranged for cake and sparkling wine to be delivered to our room, which was really thoughtful and very much appreciated. The staff are all absolutely lovely and always greeted us with a smile. The hotel is spotless and in a great location. There is a metro station right outside the front door and most places are within walking distance.

The hotel location is very good near good shopping area and staff is very friendly but hotel needs an upgrade. It’s close to the metro and some great restaurants nearby. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and good restaurants to go to.

Spent the Chriatmas holiday at the Sofitel with my wife. We booked December 23 to January 1 and had a fabulous time. The service was efficient and friendly. Minus the somewhat small room, we enjoyed every minute of our stay, from the cleanliness to the enthusiastic directions we got from the staff to must see events and places. The experience was extremely positive, location, friendly staff and ambience.

I stayed in this hotel with a friend for a total of 4 nights in early December and I would definitely not recommend it. We have stayed in the hotel twice, one for one night and the other for three nights. Whenever we entered the hotel, nobody bothered to greet us and when we left the hotel, everyone pretended not to notice us. There was one time we asked the concierge to arrange a cab for us. He did ask us about the destination but never informed the taxi driver about it and he didn’t even bother to open the cab door for us. Basically I think the service is even worse than a 3 star hotel. The room was dated and cramped. It was too dark for me. As for the restaurant, we had dinner there once but had a bad experience due to a very rude staff. I think Sofitel needs to better train its staff. At least the staff has to learn to smile and knows how to do proper customer service. Overall, I don’t feel welcome at all at this hotel.
