Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade

The hotel location is very good near good shopping area and staff is very friendly but hotel needs an upgrade. It’s close to the metro and some great restaurants nearby. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and good restaurants to go to.

Spent the Chriatmas holiday at the Sofitel with my wife. We booked December 23 to January 1 and had a fabulous time. The service was efficient and friendly. Minus the somewhat small room, we enjoyed every minute of our stay, from the cleanliness to the enthusiastic directions we got from the staff to must see events and places. The experience was extremely positive, location, friendly staff and ambience.

I stayed in this hotel with a friend for a total of 4 nights in early December and I would definitely not recommend it. We have stayed in the hotel twice, one for one night and the other for three nights. Whenever we entered the hotel, nobody bothered to greet us and when we left the hotel, everyone pretended not to notice us. There was one time we asked the concierge to arrange a cab for us. He did ask us about the destination but never informed the taxi driver about it and he didn’t even bother to open the cab door for us. Basically I think the service is even worse than a 3 star hotel. The room was dated and cramped. It was too dark for me. As for the restaurant, we had dinner there once but had a bad experience due to a very rude staff. I think Sofitel needs to better train its staff. At least the staff has to learn to smile and knows how to do proper customer service. Overall, I don’t feel welcome at all at this hotel.

We loved our weekend stay at Sofitel Lisbon. The staff made us feel like home. We were well taken care of. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and you can choose the pillow that will make your sleep more comfortable. Our room faced the avenue which we loved as the trees were decorated with festive lights. A very nice place in the middle of the most active area of Lisbon, with great people dedicated to your comfort and your wellness. A place to recommend for a stay with your family and/or your friends to be sure to discover the beauty of this capital rich in history and culture. Take the metro just in front of the hotel with all the lines to reach any places along the Tage rivers, the shopping centres or the airport.
