Watch out

This is a beautiful hotel, in a good location. The service was great. The people at the hotel were very helpful and very nice. The reason for the 4 star rating was due to a few things. 1st. We were booked here for a post cruise hotel for 2 nts. The room was an inside room with no view, which was OK, but at check in, i asked for a high floor and with a view since the hotel was not very business busy or full. The answer was a straight no. They basically said our booking was for the cheapest room. Ok, but they could have done better. I think. 2nd. Check in was at 3pm, and they mean it. We arrived at 10am. Again, ok. I get it. We walked around the area for a little while, which was nice. 3rd. We received a drink coupon for each of us. We used the coupons on day 2, and we were still charged for drinks. I have tried to straighten this out at check out, and they made some excuse. They assured me that it would be taken care of. Well, 10 days later, I am still waiting to hear what they will do. I will continue to wait. 4th. Upon check out, I reviewed my bill. There were some charges that I didn't authorize. When I returned home, I looked at my credit card charges and found another charge from the hotel. There was no explanation of what that charge was for. We covered all charges at check out, and this charge was not disclosed or brought to my attention. Again, I am waiting to hear about these. Like I said, this is a very nice hotel. The room was just OK for this kind of price. The young bar tender was nice and fun to talk with. We asked if he could make a "brandy Alexander"? He said yes with a puzzled look. So we went over how to. He added everything into the shaker and started to shake the drink like no one had ever done before. He made one of the best drinks we ever had. He remembered us on day 2 and made some great drinks. Front desk personnel were very courteous and nice. The concierge was awesome and very friendly. She booked a full day tour for us in just a few minutes. We were picked up first thing in the am. The driver had a Mercedes EQS. Beautiful ride for a full day. The driver was quite informative and went out of his way to assure we had a great experience. Thanks to the concierge, the trip was flawless and fantastic. Sorry for the long review, but these are things that I would have wanted to know before I went to Lisbon. This was a new city for us. I can recommend but buyer beware. They have your credit card.

Best seafood lunch we ate in Lisbon

The restaurant is located inside the hotel. Food, service and staff (Carlos and Bruna) were all amazing. It looks sort of glitzy but staff are very relaxed and welcoming. Images were of all our wonderful desserts including a bananas foster made by Bruna!

Seventh Floor Warning

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

So the location is fabulous and yes, this is a five star hotel however beware of room 746 and any rooms close to that on the seventh floor. We stayed there for four nights in November. This room is directly across from a service.and storage prep area. Three of the four nights between 12 AM and 2 AM. There was horrible noise. It sounded like loading and unloading dishes and moving furniture. The third night it went on for over an hour and after calling the front desk it’s still continued for another 20 minutes. We tried to speak to a manager about the problem and we’re never contacted after multiple attempts. If you are going to pay the money to actually stay there, make sure you’re nowhere near this location.

Style, Quallity and Great Location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had 2-3night stays before and after our Morocco trip. A great walkable location with not only multiple onsite dining and bar options, but close to other very nice restaurants/bars. The Sky Bar is not to be missed. Try the seafood and steak in the Cervejardia Liberdade Restaurant. My husband is a picky eater and they accommodated. Best and most extensive breakfast buffet we e seen in our travels. This is truly a 5-star hotel, whose staff embraces the high standards. Definitely try the spa - shower and sauna pre-massage was great. We were here end of October when they were showcasing some very interesting art made of palms. Upon returning end of November the holiday decorations were going up. Beautiful and tasteful decor. May be a little pricy, but the value is certainly there.
