My husband and I travelled to La Bobadilla from 5-12 October with our 1 year old baby. We were celebrating a very delayed honeymoon so wanted to experience luxury for a few days. We were absolutely astounded by this hotel at every turn! It was perfect. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing retreat in luxury and beautiful comfort, this is the place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like royalty. The kind and friendly concierge were waiting at the carpark to welcome us and bring our bags to our rooms. We were given fresh squeezed lemonade when we entered the beautiful lobby and we were warmly welcomed and treated like old friends by every member of staff we encountered. We wanted for nothing and our baby was adored and was so happy because everybody was so lovely to him during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, the decor and furniture are luxurious but warm and comfortable and you are never far away from a trickling water fountain and lots of beautiful plants. Everything is so clean and well kept and all the behind the scenes staff work hard and are also so kind. While we were crawling about on a hillside, one of the gardeners came to give my baby and I fresh figs that he was picking from the tree and although he spoke no English, he was so kind and gentle. We saw him again arranging a beautiful autumn display in the lobby and he was again, so kind to our baby. The breakfast was not only the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, it was hands down the best breakfast I've had ANYWHERE in my life, every day. The variety of the buffet is unparalleled. All tastes and health requirements are catered for and everything is so so fresh. Nothing ever ran out. I loved the variety of yogurts and seeds/superfood sprinkles and the fruit was so perfectly prepared. The bakery has everything you could ever want with a huge array of breads and sweets that were all amazing. The meats and cheeses were all incredible and the sheer quality of everything was just so good. A whole selection of different olive oils! Honey dripping slowly into jars from a massive slab of honeycomb! Everything local and delicious. And the made to order food was incredible too. The poached eggs were perfect, pancakes fluffy, and with anything you could want. Nothing was too much for the staff and all requests were welcomed. It was amazing. The rooms were beautiful, clean, the beds amazing, and a pillow menu made sure you couldn't be more comfortable. We co-sleep with our one year old and they prepared the huge bed with a comfortable topper so that there would be no gap between the mattresses. And the bath in our room was also big enough for all three of us! We ate at El Cortijo for dinner every night and every meal we had was superb. The pool is beautiful and the sunbeds are the most comfortable I've ever experienced. The staff around the poolside were so attentive and the bell to order was just so luxurious! They came round with little tasters of nice smoothies and milkshakes which was a nice touch. And the pool towels are huge and so soft! One of the pools is heated in October but the water was still pretty cold... we did still go in every day. The grounds are peaceful and interesting to wander about and we had a great bike ride after being shown a map with multiple routes at varying levels of difficulty. We also loved the turtle pond and the donkeys! The spa is great and really nice that we could go with the baby for one hour of the day too. We both had amazing massages. If you can't already tell.. we highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone and I hope one day we will be able to return.

We originally were only going to visit for 1 night to experience the restaurant La Finca, but decided to adjust our stay to two nights, on our arrival we realised what a good decision this had been. The hotel is absolutely beautiful in amazing grounds, we arrived early, and the staff made all efforts to ensure our room was available for us ASAP. We had our dinner in La Finca, which was a fantastic experience, having the tasting menu, the 1st part of which is received in the chapel, I can't remember the sommeliers name, but he was outstanding, not to say the other staff were not, and made for a very memorable meal. Our 2nd day after tucking into a good selection at breakfast, was spent just relaxing by the pool, which was so relaxing in the lush surroundings, then an evening meal in El Cortijo, and a chill in the bar. All in all a very satisfactory stay, we came away feeling totally refreshed, and will definitely be returning.
