The Ampersand Hotel

as we are not arrived yet, we'll be sure about a fabulous stay in London. interesting location near tube!

We came down for the Remembrance Parade and our usual go-to London hotel was fully booked. I read the reviews on The Ampersand and thought I’d give it a go. I could not be happier. The hotel is classy, comfortable and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and full of nice touches. We had breakfast which was delicious and good value. We had one drink on the bar and that was good. It is well located, a few minutes from the tube and there are lots of bars and restaurants close by. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice weekend in central London.

The hotel was the chosen base for a brief visit to London to celebrate a very significant birthday. The hotel is literally a minute from South Kensington tube station and a pleasant walk from the museums, Royal Albert Hall and the retail venues of Knightsbridge. From our arrival at the hotel to departure we were very well treated with nothing too much trouble for the attentive staff. Our room was spacious and very well equipped, which served us very well for the the planned celebratory schedule. Breakfast at the hotel was of high quality and well served, while we received more than adequate compensation for a minor irritant - an occassional rattle from an external unit connected with the aircon system - which the hotel made every effort to rectify. We have stayed in a number of hotels in London over many years. This ranks amongst ths very best! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Ampersand Hotel drawing room. It was the Science themed afternoon tea which our kids and we enjoyed a lot. It was interactive, fun and engaging. The folks who worked there did a terrific job. The food was also very good and we were so full at the end. The kids still talk about it!

If I could give the Ampersand 10 stars, I would. Our stay there was Fabulous! The staff are some of the best I have encountered traveling. The rooms were meticulously clean, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. All of your typical mini bar items were complimentary, what a nice surprise! They even had complimentary umbrellas to use. The hotel is in a Beautiful and convenient location, less than two minutes' walk to the underground station. There were so many wonderful little restaurants so close to eat. We had a hard time making a decision each night. The Hoop and Toy Pub is right around the corner and was a fun pub as well as great London food. I would highly recommend staying at the Ampersand your next visit to London.
