Surprisingly impressed New Yorkers.
Wonderful hotel. You are welcomed by everyone. Mayfair area and the hotel is across the street from the park. Walkable on main road to go around for tours. The residences are spacious and perfect for family gatherings. First class services. Dining and afternoon tea was delicious. Highly recommend Athenaeum Hotel.

Disabled guest : Management refused to take accountability for basic amenities and lack of functioniality
I have a disability and mentioned this to the team before my stay so I could get a room with a bath to ease my mobility issues. At a room at this price I expected the basic amenities to work, the sink was dripping underneath and the bath did not work (the stopper was broken and water kept draining out) and the team/management refused to get back to me about this, bearing in mind that this place is a ‘5 star’ hotel and costs a lot of money, I respected more to accommodate disabled guests. Room looked lovely but I went to relax and wasn’t happy with this service.

Great Experience at 116 Restaurant at The Athenaeum
We had dinner at the restaurant and a were hosted by Kazi, who was a wonderful host and really did his utmost to look after us and make the evening enjoyable Then food was delivered promptly and really tasty. The beetroot salad is a must try, and the sea bream was cooked to perfection.

Another wonderful stay.
This is our third time at this wonderful hotel and I’m sure we’ll be back. Everything about this place is perfect. All the staff are very friendly it would be difficult to single out one member. They all went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Our room was super comfortable and breakfast was of high quality. Good location in the city for visiting the attractions along with the shops of course. Only a 20 minute walk to Harrods.
