The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences

Stayed in the residences with our dachshund and from arrival to departure everything was simply amazing , wonderful room with private entrance which was really helpful , staff are superb and we could even take her in with us for breakfast . I literally can’t wait to stay here again

What an amazing hotel. The location is near Buckingham Palace, the hotel is wonderful. But the best part is the staff takes great care of families. They made our stay the best possible experience. The doorman Daniel was the kindest hotel employee I have ever encountered.

I have been fortunate to stay at The Athenaeum a few times now, and each time has been a real pleasure, with my most recent stay no exception. From initial contact at booking to checking in, the food and, finally, checking out the staff can't do enough for you. They treat you like you're part of a family. We visited The View on the 10th floor which gives fantastic views across Green Pork towards Buckingham Palace and you can see Westminster, Big Ben clock tower, the houses of parliament and the London Eye. The cocktail hour was a lovely touch and then dinner was a real treat. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and hope to visit again in the future.

We are fans of The Athenaeum and have visited many times. It's our go to whenever we visit London. My advance request for oat and almond milk in our room was sorted for when we arrived which was appreciated. Breakfast is always a treat and you will not go hungry. The one thing that took me by surprise on this visit was the addition of a standard service charge for our stay. For one night, this was only £12.75, but still unexpected. Perhaps this is the way now, although the first time I have come across this in recent times. I didn't see this on the website prior to booking. Would it have stopped me booking? No. But I would have been prepared and not on the backfoot when presented to me for a pre-paid room.

I was kindly gifted a Solo Spa experience at the Atheneum Piccadilly London. The receptionist (Ms S) greeted me with a warm smile, and my afternoon began with an hour spent enjoying the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The experience included two treatments. My beauty therapist (Ms C) asked about my daily skin routine in detail and explained the types of treatments available, allowing me to ask questions before I made my choice of a full facial and body wrap. The results were amazing; My face glowed, and my body felt silky smooth. I will be returning very soon. Thank you ladies for a wonderful experience! JH
