The Berkeley has been setting its own course for more than 100 years. Midway between fashionable Knightsbridge and friendly Belgravia, this hotel is all style, comfort and service at inspiring new levels. Beautiful rooms by the brightest talents in the design world. Intuitive service that always seems one step ahead of your every need. From the moment guests walk in, the hotel begins to work its magic, and it’s a spell that many find hard to break.

This was my first time at this hotel. First, the hotel is simply gorgeous. It feels so modern, clean and very unique in design. I hear each floor has a different feel. Second, the hotel guarantees early check/in at 10 am for all reservations which is great, especially for those arriving from the east coast of the US. My room was ready when I arrived at 8 am. It was an upgraded room, from the entry level. It looked out on a courtyard, was a bit dark, but the room was huge and had a balcony door which opened, which was great. I did not mind that there was no view. We are in London, so views in central London are overrated. Room Service was fast, delicious and the servers were very friendly. The door staff were outstanding. Two negatives. One, the guest relations team was very slow to respond to emails, many times simply not responding at all. Thjis is not acceptable for a hotel of this quality. I had sent several messages before my stay on an urgent issue, and it took 3 emails to get a response. When I checked out, the front desk promised to send my final folio, but again it took 3 followup emails before I finally got a response. Again, not acceptable. I had to remind the team to take off the F&B credit under my promotion, which makes for a bit of an awkward conversation. Most hotels are able to do this through their night audit teams. Finally, an issue for me, and possible others, is the hotel is using the side entrance, which is not the most easy to navigate for people with mobility issues. I managed, but it was a bit of a struggle. Otherwise, this was almost a perfect stay, and I would likely return at the appropriate nightly rate.

The beauty is in the details here - from the perfectly pressured shower to the intuitive room layout. Everything feels thoughtfully planned yet organic. The restaurant staff remembers your coffee preference from day one, and the way the evening light fills the common areas creates this magical atmosphere that makes you want to linger

Hotel is very luxurious, rooms are spacious. I was welcomed by Emy who took care of my check in and I was granted with an early check in as I was promised. Concerige are amazing too, I'd like to thank Diana. I tried the in room dining and the service was swift so big thanks to Demetris & Michael. The spa was amazing too and the gym was opened 24 hrs. I'll definitely come back.

London has a lot of choices to be sure when it comes to choosing a 5 star hotel but The Berkeley gave me an experience last week that was magnificent. It began at checkin with the hotel angel I will refer to him as , Mr Christopher P who went above and beyond to establish my 5 rooms ( special note to Mr Murowany for coordinating my upgrades!!!) During my entire stay, Mr P attending to my every need and adding yet another special treat in my room!! Each room had special cookies and a gorgeous cake as a gift which is from the pastry bar downstairs . This is a really fun element to walk by each morning as well. Rooms are fresh and luxurious with a modern look. The hotel spa called Surenne is off the charts with exceptional pool and more . The staff here is wonderful The ABC restaurant on the ground floor is so delicious for breakfast and is nice at night as well. Again F&B staff so wonderful as they always had a special table waiting for us at breakfast The Blue bar off the foyer is cozy and elegant for another spot to enjoy The hotel has a fun lively vibe as well but with very personal attention Great location Loved it all

The Berkeley is merely a so so hotel in a city full of beautiful and well-run hotels. In our experience, we were given a room looking out on a wall. When we transfered the next day, they completely screwed it up, causing my husband to miss a meeting. Rooms are subpar - very plain and ours had no drawers, no double sink in the bathroom and a bathtub shower. I could have stayed at 3 dozen hotels in the Mayfair/Knightsbridge area that would have been vastly superior for the price. I suggest you stay elesewhere as there is nothing here that says 5 stars.
