My daughter took me to lunch at Charlie’s for a birthday treat, and what a treat it was! The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff super friendly and attentive, and the food simply divine! From the doorman, to the waiting staff, and from the sommelier, to the barman - our experience was exceptional. The kitchen catered for my gluten intolerance without any issues at all. Opting for seared tuna to start, followed by the brill with blood orange, and finishing with the mango macaroon - I was in heaven! They even brought me my own GF birthday cake, a very special touch. Manuel looked after us exceptionally well, so we have to say thank you to him for making our visit that extra bit special. We love our lunch visits to London and I have to say, this is one of the best we’ve had. So much so, we moved to the bar area and enjoyed a cocktail or two, only leaving when we absolutely had to! It deserves the top reviews it has. We will definitely be back.

Afternoon tea was fabulous! The sandwish assortment was delicious across the board, and sweet treats were amazing. We were initially intimidated by the massive selection of teas, but our server, Lefter, was very helpful when selecting our teas and made our party feel very comfortable with the new experience. Impecable service by Lefter and Maria.

Lefter and Effi provided outstanding service, so nice and knowledgeable. Sandwiches, pastries and tea were all outstanding and the atmosphere, especially the amazing piano player, was perfect. Our 2 teenage girls enjoyed the afternoon as did we!

Had a lovely afternoon tea with my family recently here, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, with live piano music in the background that really set the tone—it made the whole thing feel extra special. The tea selection was great, the food was delicious and everything just felt thoughtfully done. Our servers, Effi and Lefter, were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel totally at ease. We left feeling happy, and relaxed, and would come back.

Our afternoon tea was excellent in all respects. Lefter and Effi were attentive and kind. The piano player is outstanding playing w wide variety of tunes including popular favorites. Afternoon tea is expensive but a good value considering the quality of the food, service and atmosphere.
