Cheeky Midweek Theatre Trip

The hotel is in a great location in the middle of theatreland with lots of lovely places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Our room was HUGE and very comfortable, but the best thing about the hotel was the fantastic, friendly, efficient, helpful staff. I would highly recommend the Dilly.

The Dilly made it special!

Spent a night at The Dilly for my wife's birthday and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were very friendly, smiley and helpful. Don welcomed us at check in and we were told that we had been given an upgrade to junior suite which was a really pleasant surprise. We also received a welcome gift of wine and treats which was such a lovely touch. Don was very informative and told us everything we needed to know, we felt well looked after. The room was superb, very spacious with a very large comfortable bed. All the extra attention made my wife's brithday seem extra special...thank you! Unfortunately, as we only stayed one night we didn't have the time to make use of the hotel's facilities. The location of the hotel is perfect and very close to the underground and theatres. With lots of attractions being within walking distance. Overall a fantastic stay which we would 100% recommend and would love to come back to The Dilly when we are next in London.

Management needs to learn about customer service

It has a superb location and lovely premises, but the service is below par. The reception didn’t inform us where the pool and breakfast were located. The room service told us there was no milk in the evening and just hung up. The pool was cold. For the price, this service is very questionable. My two daughters ( 1.5 and 7yo) and I had waited in the dining area for over twenty minutes for a table to grab a bite at lunchtime, only to find out that we could only eat in the waiting area (indeed, that could be notified either by reception, I specifically asked about lunch or waiting for stuff 🙈🤔. We ordered a cheese sandwich and chips, and 40 minutes later the food arrived 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ To give you guys an idea of prices, a small bottle of Coke is £6.50. Therefore, you would expect a service to meet some sort of level(?). We often take weekend trips to London, and even though the location is great, the lack of good service will prevent us from choosing Dilly again. Shame.

Fantastic stay, we will be back!

We spent 2 nights at The Dilly for my birthday, and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. At check in we were greeted by Don, who let us check in early and told us we had an upgrade! He wished me a happy birthday and made the process of checking in very easy and swift.m, he was brilliant. The room was lovely and big, and had been set up for a special birthday surprise with Prosecco and chocolates! Thankyou for that! The location is great and very central and close to the underground. Paul, the doorman, was excellent with giving us local hints and tips of how to get around and great recommendations, always very friendly and welcoming when we arrived back to the hotel. Paul was genuinely interested in where we were going and what we were doing that day to see if he could help out in any way. The bar, ‘downstairs at The Dilly’ was lovely and relaxed and the staff very accommodating and made a great aperol spritz. The pool area was nice, although the pool was fairly cold so we couldn’t stay in it for long, im not sure it had been heated or the temperature checked. It would have been nice to have more space for lounging areas around the pool. Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend, and will be back when we next stay in London.

Exceptional Service Turns a Mistake into a Positive Experience. Thank you, Abdul!

After checking out and returning home, I noticed an erroneous charge for breakfast on my credit card—something I hadn’t requested or consumed. I reached out through the hotel’s website for confirmation and to request a cancellation of the charge. After exchanging a few emails, I received a prompt response from a staff member named Abdul, who immediately took care of the cancellation. The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. Thank you, Abdul, for your exceptional customer service! It’s dedicated staff like you that make me want to return to this hotel in the future.
