The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

This was my second stay and it pleases me to say it was even better than the first visit. This hotel is really a home away from home. The hotel is charming, the rooms are so cozy and the staff is outstanding! The location is superb! I strongly recommend the Egerton House Hotel, staying there during the holiday season is enchanting!

The Egerton House Hotel was a fabulous stay! Very warm and cozy feeling. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful but are small in size so if you can book a larger room, I recommend it. The location is also fabulous. Close to everything!

We are so pleased with our stay. Everyone there made us feel so spoiled. The food was fantastic especially breakfast! We asked for an upgrade to our room because we wanted a bigger bed and Benjamin was able to get us another room. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

The room was very nicely decorated and the service was impeccable. The entire staff was very welcoming as soon as I walked in the door and did not hesitate to try to make my stay the best possible. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel to all of my friends and family who will be traveling to London.

The Egerton House Hotel still feels like home away home. I stayed at the Egerton seven years ago in June 2017 for one week and booked two rooms, one for myself and the other for my sister and her daughter. The Egerton truly felt like home away from home and this time I did not consider any other hotel for accommodations when my friends and I decided to visit London, for among other things, the ABBA voyage. We really enjoyed the location in Knightsbridge, and went walking in Hyde Park, Chelsea, along the Thames River, and just walked a few minutes to some amazing restaurants. The staff were friendly and attentive yet somehow understated. I don't know how they do it, but it helped us just relax and enjoy our time in London. We enjoyed the full breakfast every morning, so many wonderful choices and excellent service. I'm a fan of the Financial Times and they always had the day's edition. I'm a bit fussy about the strength of my Americano, but no problem, they made it exactly as requested. Overall, a really bespoke experience. Morning cleaning and evening turndown service were outstanding. Drapes were opened or closed depending on the time of day, bottles of water and slippers placed in the evening, and they even lighted a candle above the bath tub. One morning, I discovered a team of three as they emerged from my room. Overall, The Egerton House Hotel is a hotel that works, and there is a lot going on, the high level of service, the British charm, all in a kind of magical, understated way.
