Great staff and facility - wonderful lounge area with quality meals and respite from the city. Location is OK for this part of town and relatively quick access to the tube and other means to get around. Staff is next level, always helpful and very keen to support you.

I go to London about once per year and will ONLY stay at this hotel. It is absolutely incredible. Yes, the location and facilities are beautiful but it is truly the staff that make it extraordinary. Every year, Viktoria ensures that I find the perfect room and that in advance I know I will be happy. Gabriella in the Executive lounge greets everyone with a warm smile, is very helpful and is open for a laugh. Yash and Jenny, who work in the lounge, are always running around keeping everyone pleased from clearing to providing the food but never seem to be stressed and always have smiles. They consistently stop to solicit if there is anything else they can do to to assist, chat and laugh. Also I would like to mention Ellie in reception. I truly enjoyed chatting with her and her enthusiasm for her job. She is definitely someone who has the ability and character to continue to advance in her career. For me a property is all about the people who work there. At this hotel, the staff shows extraordinary hospitality and you will feel like you are family!

We absolutely love staying at the Grosvenor House. The staff is so welcoming every where we go in the hotel. If you truly want to treat yourself, make a reservation for afternoon tea in The Park Room. When your finished with tea, take a seat in the longe/lobby area and listen to the incredible piano player Igor Gudjalov. Every afternoon my wife and I listed to Igor’s beautiful music for over two hours each day. He is absolutely incredible! My only regret during my stay is I couldn’t personally thank the General Manager Stewart Bowery in person for a lovely stay, as he was out of the office. I wanted him to know how much we enjoyed his hotel and how much we enjoyed Igor in the afternoon. We are coming back next year in September 2025 and I hope everything stays the same at the hotel and Igor is still playing his lovely music.

An amazing stay as always. Impeccable service and spotless rooms. The hotel is very diligent about acknowledging Ambassador Elites and providing the proper benefits. From the time you enter the lobby and hear Igor the piano player playing a mood of service and elegance is set. The afternoon tea, which we try and have at least once during each stay, was great as we have come to expect again topped off with the piano player in the background. I know that this is an older hotel that lacks some of the amenities that newer establishments like the Peninsula have but we feel it more that makes up for those things with service and attention to detail.

As seen in my past reviews my husband and I are very avid Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott fans. However, that said…JW is our number one and at this point in time The Ritz could use some pointers from them. Let me explain. Recently we headed to London for a quick stay (2 days). We then headed to Istanbul for an over night and on to a cruise ship for a Mediterranean Cruise. Once done we headed out of Athens back to London (can you tell it’s a favorite city) to the JW. Both stays at the JW were nothing less than amazing. So, you are aware of the area, you are just across the street from Hyde Park. Easy to go over and take a nice afternoon walk in this beautiful setting. The staff at JW is second to none. We are Titanium and unlike the Ritz (who barely recognizes this), JW goes out of their way to thank you for being a part of the organization. They immediately offer you your welcome gift and give you the key to the Executive Lounge. The Ritz does NOT do this. Now on to the hotel. This particular JW is (as far as we are concerned) one of the most beautiful we have stayed in. It’s delicate colors and high-end furnishings add a feeling of being on a very different level than other hotels. It’s opulence/elegant but subtle. It’s absolutely gorgeous! From the moment you walk in you feel like utter Royalty! Our first stay we received a nice upgrade to a very high floor. The room was newly remodeled and it was just lovely. We always head to the JW Steakhouse the first night to see our friend Sotiris Misseris who takes extra special care of us every time we are there. More on JW Steakhouse in another review, but don’t miss it, whatever you do. The second stay on this trip was a bit longer. On check in Megan Broderick stepped in and gave us an amazing suite upgrade and it was more than we ever expected and we are so grateful for her kindness!! The suite was stunning. Large living room with exquisite furnishings. The bedroom had plenty of room and a vanity for me. Score!!! But the bathroom….oh that bathroom. Heated toilet seat, heated towel rack, large shower and beautiful amenities. It is something we will not soon forget. The Lounge has food on and off all day and I’m not embarrassed to say we have actually had dinner in there on nights we are just too tired to go out. We eat breakfast every day and didn’t know until recently that if you don’t like the eggs, you can actually order the eggs how you want. Not the norm for a lounge, but the norm for this hotel!! Often times we would stop in the lounge just to chill and have a cappuccino. The second day we headed to High Tea for a meal before our play. There will be a separate review on that as well, but I need to mention Leo (I wish I had taken his picture) who stopped by several times to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our tea. Best High Tea in London I swear!! Here is something I need to mention because its rare in the hospitality industry. The staff! They love what they do and they are so very proud of where they work. They want your stay to be second to none. They want you to leave and look back and say “Oh Wow”……”I need to come back here”. JW nails it every time we are here. Without a doubt our favorite hotel anywhere! We are considering a trip out for Christmas as we have been told its stunning.
