Balancing the harmony and aesthetics of the Far East with state-of-the-art technology and modern comforts, No. 5 Maddox Street is a tranquil haven in the heart of London. Decorated with an understated blend of tactile natural materials that includes soothing bamboo floors and a relaxing organic color palette, each of the 12 one, two and three-bedroom suites is a unique inner city sanctuary. There's no suited doorman, and no lobby or reception, just a fleet of stairs leading to a tiny concierge area on the first floor. Barely noticeable from the street, this discreet townhouse feels more like a pied-á-terre than a hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Nice rooms and well equiped. Would stay again. Location is quite frankly perfect. Staff is nice. I replied on other reviews to book the room so I feel I should provide doesn't feedback for others. Some caveats. 1. We booked the loft but when we arrived we were placed in a single story terrace. We called reception and they told us there are two possible rooms when you book the loft...one is a loft and the other simply isn't. The images on the website are a combination of both (best of each). One room has a bigger bathroom and a terrace and the other the high ceilings and the loft bedroom. So a bit of a let down when we didn't get the loft and that it wasn't like the images. They moved us next day to the loft when the guests in the loft cleared out. But I recommend management make a new room type called "2 bedroom terrace" so you get what you book. 2. If you are not fit, the stairs can be an issue. Carrying your luggage or shopping is a chore. You will get your steps in. 3. The room says it is sound proof which it isn't. You get both hallway and outside noise. It's common for hotels to be noisy but soundproof this one isn't. I recommend that management removes it from the description. Also, the blackouts arent blackouts. They are dark curtains that do let light in around the edges. That's my feedback. Great hotel, great location.

Wonderful Mayfair location just off of Regent St and a short walk to Soho, Oxford St, etc. where the Xmas lights were fab! Agree with others in that the furnishings were a little worn, but the bed is still comfy and the bath and bedroom were very nice. Overall, a great stay.

The service from the moment we booked through to our check out was exceptional. The team went above and beyond and accommodated our early check in request with no issues at all. The location is perfect and close to all local Mayfair attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend and will book again myself.

We have just stayed at this place and it is amazing . The location is great , walking distance from everywhere . Rooms are bright , clean and quiet which is amazing for central London . We would def stay here again . Be aware , there is no lift so lots of stairs but this was not a problem as it was a good work out . Reception staff were really friendly and helpful . Highly recommended

We stayed here a few days ago and it was in a very convenient location. The office staff was great, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable, big shout out to the cleaning crew!! Wished there was an elevator as we were on the fifth floor, but we would definitely stay here again. thanks again
