We stayed in the hotel for a quick friends trip, on our way to enjoy a musical, and we didn't expect the hotel experience to be so good, so much it felt like a hightlight during the trip. The room was great, the food even better, and Joy and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome. Loved the detail of sending us some sweets to enjoy while we were getting ready for our night at the Wicked musical. Would love to return soon.

I went to this Hotel with my family quite a while ago and it was simply amazing. I highly recommended this hotel, it’s clean, high quality and enjoyable. The staff are friendly and the food is great. Overall, if you want to have a good hotel in London, this is the place to stay.

We cannot recommend this hotel enough. The entire staff, Adrian, JP, George and Joy went above and beyond to make our stay great. Adrian in particular helped us arrange spa services on short notice and at multiple points throughout our stay arranged other very nice gestures that made us feel at home. Thank you all!

Just came back from a 7-night stay at The Prince Akatoki - London with my family and nothing sums it up other than two words: total fail. First off, the complimentary breakfast leaves much to be desired. A very small buffet with a poor selection of food was available; mainly a few hams and cheeses, some bread, plain yogurt, cereal, and most delectable of all: stale pastries and dried-up cakes. We tried the boiled eggs once and very nearly threw up as the yolk was acid green when I bit into it. When we complained to the manager, he assured us that the egg was overcooked not rotten. In all honesty, we do not care what the reason was - food should be properly inspected and well-cooked before being served to customers. On one occasion, we found a tiny bug in the orange juice and another time a small piece of cling film stretched to the dehydrated slice of cake. This goes to show the poor food quality-control exercised in this “luxurious” hotel. There was the option of the à-la-carte menu which, same as the buffet, was extremely limited to mainly choices of eggs on toast or very dry and flat pancakes. Most of the servers in the restaurant were not fluent English-speakers and it was a struggle to communicate our order with them. For this reason, they got something wrong or missing from our order every single time. We asked for no eggs with our toast - they got us eggs. We asked for coconut milk with our coffee - they got us normal milk. We asked for our eggs to be cooked medium, they got them as firm as tennis balls. We booked two premium interconnected rooms: an Executive room and an Executive suite. The rooms were extremely cramped with zero drawer or shelf space available which was a nightmare considering we had five 20kg suitcases full of clothes for our week-long stay. The heating in the rooms was very off: the rooms were either too hot or too cold and they could not be set to a comfortable ambient temperature. We were provided with 30ml bottles of premium shower-gel, body lotion, and shampoo however the bottles were less than half full. One bottle of shower-gel was not enough for a single wash since it barely contained 10ml. We had to keep calling the reception to get us more shower-gel but in the end we gave up and bought our own soap. We believe that the bottles were being refilled and miserly they were pumping one small dollop in each bottle. We would rather have been provided with a full-size bottle of Nivea body-wash rather than a lick of the Malin+Goetz soap they proudly advertise. Upon showing us our rooms at check-in, the concierge had informed us that all items in the minibar were complimentary except for the alcoholic drinks. For this reason, we helped ourselves to the snacks and drinks topped up daily. Only to be presented with a £100 bill at checkout since the snacks were not actually free - only the water and juices were. And we were assured that this was a misunderstanding from our end - not that the concierge fed us the wrong information. The staff were hostile and most unwelcoming. Not one time did they greet us whenever we passed through reception to access the lifts. To make matters worse, our last four nights of our stay were made miserable by the receptionist calling us or showing up at our door as soon as we wake up at 7am or as soon as we step in our rooms at 6pm to warn us to keep the noise down. Neither us nor the kids were engaging in any sort of horseplay during those hours - we were just getting on with our normal day/evening routine. They harassed us incessantly claiming that we were making too much noise. Never once did we receive any complaints in our 10-year history of travelling with our children even when they were much younger. This put a big stress on our last few days as we had to talk in hushed voices and actually tiptoe in the rooms which is NOT what you expect when you have paid £10k for a relaxing, mindful retreat. We strongly believe that this hotel is a fraud in every sense of the word. They try to sell the hotel off as a premium, luxury accommodation where you can unwind and escape the world but it is a far cry from that. The only positive thing we enjoyed during our stay in The Prince Akatoki - London were the heated toilet seats which, quite frankly, is a royal joke. Word of advice? Skip this one.
