Sofitel London St James

We have stayed here several times & it never disappoints. It's a fabulous hotel, great location, comfortable rooms, delicious food. Last time we stayed there was just the superb Michelin starred Wild Honey to eat in but now there is also the Bistrot . This serves less elaborate food perfectly cooked. However what really stands out about this hotel is the staff. They are friendly , warm & hard working. This hotel must treat it's staff well as they all seem to be happy. Another stand out feature is the delicious canele cakes, they're divine!

Based on reviews on this site, I really thought our stay would be perfect. There are definitely major advantages to this hotel, such has location, friendliness of the staff and sleep quality. However, we experienced a few disappointments, like waiting over 4 hours for a room to be ready and an extremely sluggish shower drain. It was attended to rapidly, but only to be told that nothing could be done. I did not expect, in a 5 star hotel, to shower with water above the ankles. The St-Jame is not comparable to other Sofitels, like the Scribe or Faubourg in Paris. In my opinion, there are better options for the same price in London.

It is always such a pleasure to stay at the Sofitel St James. One couldn't ask for a better location. So central and convenient but also in a quiet corner. Above all what makes the hotel such a wonderful experience are the staff. Friendly, helpful, welcoming and always available when you need them is the way I'd describe them. The quality of the food and drinks at the hotel are very nice as well. The room sizes are comfy.

I wanted to leave a review for our exceptional stay at your hotel. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, and we were made to feel truly welcomed by everyone. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary here as the hotel has an excellent location, just a short walk from Bond Street and Oxford Street, making it perfect for shopping. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and offered a brief tour of the hotel’s amenities, as well as an insightful history of the building. Our room was outstanding, thoughtfully prepared with beautiful flowers and champagne to mark our special occasion ( there are various packages available at the time of booking). Our dining experience at Wild Honey was also remarkable – I highly recommend making a booking here, the menu runs seasonally and the food and service is excellent! The hotel bar has a real luxury vibe to it, and the off-menu cocktails made for us went down a treat! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A huge thank you to everyone who made our stay truly unforgettable, we are most definitely booking again and cannot wait to come back.

The Bistro at the London Sofitel hotel by Pall Mall is a great place to have a quick bite. It’s in the “same” room as the Wild Honey Restaurant. We had a burger each and shared a carafe of red wine and it was probably the best burgers we’ve eaten. The service was brilliant and especially Vicky (from Greece) who made us feel very welcome. A great experience. Thanks Vicky from Eva and Anders
