Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

We are having an excellent stay at the St. Martin’s Lane Hotel. They have provided us with excellent service! We were able to check in early from our overseas flight after notifying them of our early arrival. We received champagne and cake for our 10th wedding anniversary and birthday celebration. It’s been a really great vacation. I would 1000% recommend this hotel as everyone throughout the hotel has been friendly and accommodating. Thank you for everything and to everyone wondering “should we book it?”….book it!!!

We were accommodated without a booking, for a pre-theatre drink. The staff were all very welcoming, particularly Aarati, from Nepal, who was outstanding. Charming. Made for a very pleasant, calm retreat from the bustle on the streets outside.

I had an incredible experience having the afternoon tea service! From the moment I arrived, Manuel made me feel right at home with his warm and welcoming demeanor. He was not only friendly and funny but also incredibly informative, sharing interesting tidbits about the various treats I was enjoying. As it was my first time experiencing afternoon tea, I truly appreciated his guidance and enthusiasm. The ambiance was delightful, and the selection of pastries and sandwiches was exquisite. Overall, it was a memorable outing that I highly recommend!

My partner and I came to London to see some theater productions and wanted to stay at a chic gay-friendly hotel and found the St Martin. This hotel was in a great location. Walkable to many things. We had a corner Jr. Suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The bed and linens were cloud soft. The bath towels were white, fluffy and large. Large bathroom with bathtub, shower, large sink and WC with amble storage. The restaurant is French forward and high tea in The Den ( see my review) was a wonderful special treat. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
