St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London

Booked a long weekend at the hotel, unfortunately our room overlooked the private party booking area, this meant we were treated to the noise of the gathering until late at night, we tried to resolve this at reception only to be told they were over poked and nothing could be done. For the price of the hotel you would not expect to be placed in such an area or, if nothing else, more than empty apologies to be given for the inconvenience.

The only positive thing I can say is that dîner in the Booking Hall was good… the Check-in took ages and was poor (they sent me to a room which was already occupied!) and the suite (I had booked a room) was awful : cold, drafty and noisy with single glazed windows in a poor state, defective light switches and a ridiculously large - and hence freezing - bathroom. Not worth the price.

Avoid booking this hotel through booking.com. if you have any issues with your booking it's a nightmare to get them resolved. The room advertised was not the room offered by the hotel. Location. Amazing. 2 minute walk from kings cross station. Room. I was moved into a family room due to booking.com advertising a loft room having 2 beds. This is not the case so the hotel gave us a family room which had 2 beds. The room was tired looking and there was no wow factor when entering the room. They had left a camp bed in the room which made space reduced. Room very quiet. Bed quite hard. Bar. We went to the bar at about 21:30 on a Saturday night. Ordered our drinks for them to never turn up. Got bored of waiting and told the waiter we were leaving. One man had collapsed in the bar area and staff didn't seem urgently bothered to help. Spa. Pool small but nice. Check in/check out. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Fabulous hotel and with a really reasonable price point. My namesake Yana, at reception, was a complete joy and gave me all the necessary information as well as making me feel truly welcome. The other staff were just as friendly and enthusiastic. This will become my go-to each time I return to London.

What a wonderful surprise. The architecture is gorgeous, the Chambers Club is elegant , the food surprisingly delicious, and the atmosphere tremendous! We are Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Members who travel extensively for work, and things our first time at this hotel. We will most definitely stay here again !
