Disappointed in my stay at this hotel.Fir the price you pay felt they could do better on Amenities. Only paper cups in the room,no spoons,no tea in the room they provide a fridge so fresh milk would be a nice touch but they left 2 UHT pots. It did not have the luxury feel itbshould have for the price. They were very helpful in moving us as the TV did not work so after 3 calls to maintenance they changed our room. Our original room was on 5th floor and the hoover was left outside by the lift and the towel/toilet roll storage cupboard by our room was left open with mops and buckets in the doorway.was just sloppy for a hotel of this calibre.

I've thought long and hard about this review because I want to be fair. The hotel is delightful but there are design issues which sacrifice functionality. Friends and I (ladies of a certain age) selected the hotel due to its proximity to pick up points for our bus trips. The location was perfect. We were comfortable walking in the area at night. The public rooms are warm and welcoming and tea is always available. The staff is outstanding, helpful, and kind. Every staff member was marvelous. There is no question that the hotel is beautiful. My review is in no way reflective of the staff and the services they provided. It is very "techy" - lots of buttons with difficult to decipher icons. There is a video showing how to use the bells and whistles but why not just explain the icons on a cheat sheet? The exterior black granite steps are stately but they are slippery when wet and there is no hand rail. In the UK, only electric shavers may be used in the bathroom. That does not help someone who wishes to style their hair. There are no electrical outlets located near the mirrors in the hall. The staff kindly loaned me a power strip into which I plugged my converter and styling tools. But, it was still too short. There is no place near the mirror on which to set a comb, products, or styling tools. I had to set things on the floor or in the built in closet. I'm sure this is done as a space saver but it is inconvenient trend that I've noticed in European hotels. Another trend is to save space by dramatically reducing the size of the bathroom and the privacy most people desire. We knew when we made the reservation that the door to the bathroom and the wall between the shower and the bedroom are glass. Sitting on the bed, you see straight through to the loo. As singles, this was not a problem. But if you're sharing a room, be sure to press the button that makes the glass door and wall opaque. The shower is minuscule with a glass wall and glass door. The glass door opens directly against the sink and is so narrow that someone slightly above average must enter the shower sideways. The shower floor is very slippery with no anti slip protection. The water pours out of the shower head faster than it drains which means water is creating a pool of water on the slippery floor. Be sure to put at least one towel or mat on the floor outside the shower door to collect water that seeps through. Neither my friends nor I felt safe in the shower. Last, it's a small matter but I had hoped for crumpets, scones, teacakes as a choice in the continental breakfast. (Perhaps these are not served for breakfast in the UK.) The continental breakfast offered an adequate selection. But bagels? It's London, not NY. My friends and I like boutique hotels and we seek them when we travel. For so many reasons the Eccleston Square Hotel was perfect for us but...

We absolutely loved our stay here! Great hotel in a brilliant location, the staff are all really friendly and were very helpful when we left something behind, and the room was very comfortable with all the tech you could ask for. All for an excellent price. I would highly recommend

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and we are so happy we picked this one! It was in a quiet area, convenient to walk around and reach main attractions, the technology aspect was a nice touch and very unique, room service was great and the access to the garden was lovely. I will say two things to be aware of are, the rooms are small, we had a lot of luggage and had to figure out how to fit it around. Second thing is although we paid for the mini bar to be topped up every day, we were only topped up with sodas and juices but no water. If we ever return to London, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay, the hotel is in a fantastic location that is really easy to get to the top sights in London, with great public transport connections. There was wonderful service, the hotel had everything we needed and the staff were so friendly. A very comfortable stay for a few nights enjoying London.
