Good Hotel London is a re-designed platform located right on the water and offering views over the river Thames and city of London. From the outside, it looks like a giant, black container, with green roof and small windows. Inside, however, the design and atmosphere encourage groups to sit, eat and chat together. The reception is glued with a bar, and a library in one big lounging area. The hotel's look is different to others because its offers training and jobs to long-term unemployed people in the local community. The hotel rooms range between a cozy and a roomy and boasting a smart layout and contemporary aesthetics.

The room was tiny, just the bed´s width. No TV. Very few plugs. Tiny desk. Tiny bathroom and shower. No wardrobe, just a couple of hangers on the wall. I did not have space even to put my small suitcase. Decoration is quite old-fashioned. The breakfast seems good but I bit my sausage and it was with bones inside. It was not a very good experience in this hotel.

Great value for money and stand out service from the team, I will definitely be back! Wish I'd known about it before as I'm often at London Excel.

It was a very nice experience the lobbies very pretty the restaurant is delicious and the staff is great - especially Will, He was extremely helpful and a very nice guy deserved the recognition. Helped me get my stuff to my room and was consistently friendly and checking in on me and my friends the rest of our trip

The staff here are all fabulous!! Especially Ibriham (spelling ??) They make up for the awfulness of the building and the systems they use. Our room had a toilet that wouldn’t flush which we later learned is an eco loo, we were moved room thank goodness after spending the first night having to go down to the public loo on ground floor. Twin room beds are 2’6” wide like a camp bed. Glass door on toilet and bathroom so zero privacy, a total nightmare if sharing with a work colleague. Beware no tvs, fortunately we had an iPad to use instead. On arriving home the £60 they take as a swipe of card still isn’t returned to account. I called and they say it will be a few more days. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar as were so put off by other elements. Thank you team for your help and kindness but whoa what a dreadful building with poor payment system. Definitely not one to try sadly!!

Beware of booking based on their advertising of their roof terrace as a main feature - it's only open in summer. We wouldn't have booked this place without it, but it was completely closed off during our stay despite glorious spring weather the whole time. False advertising.. Facilities are very basic - tiny rooms, miniscule bathrooms, a lobby with uncomfortable, conference style desks, paper-thin walls so you can hear next door's conversation (they provide ear plugs in every room), very basic (and unhygenic) breakfast which is not worth the cost, stifling rooms even in March (despite having an air con controller in each room, they actually control the temperatures of each room from their plant room, and appear to switch the air con off during the night; we got a fan sent up to our room). Staff were all wonderful and friendly and did everything to be helpful. Location is good, at the foot of the cable car (the roof terrace views would have been beautiful). Wouldn't stay here again as I can't imagine how hot the rooms get in summer, and it's not worth the price without the roof terrace, and for the room size, noise and level of facilties on offer. Could easily become a nice hotel if they sort out the unnecessary issues (roof terrace open, decent breakfast, air con set up properly, comfy lobby)
