The Resort at Longboat Key Club

Jason was so nice!!! We came just for the weekend in March and even though it was crowded, Jason found us a good spot on the beach and got our chairs and umbrellas situated. We talked to him about Iowa and Chicago! He was very personable - classic midwesterner !

Positives: The room itself - 2 BR 2B in the beach was the best part of the experience at the Resort on Longboat Key. The unit itself was lovely - the 2 BR/2 bath and beach view was clean, comfortable, and great. - the beach staff was amazing - the guys and gals who set up chairs and served food and beverages were amazing - attentive, helpful, kind and professional! - valet parkers/luggage valet was super nice! Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired: - front desk staff less than helpful. Didn’t seem well trained. - cleanliness of the property. There were empty cans and gatorade bottles, q-tips, on the stairs, garbage in the parking area, and on the grounds. I rarely saw anyone cleaning up during our stay. It felt untidy and dirty. - our Christmas eve meal at the Tavern was horrible. The food was bad, the waiter was awful, and there wasn't a manager to be found. - Portofino was also bad. No one enjoyed their meals - undercooked, lacking flavor and even bad pasta sauce, something hard to get wrong. Service equally mediocre. - Latitudes - the same. average quality food and service - breakfast felt like a Hilton garden inn or courtyard. - Despite the slow service and poor food quality, we received multiple calls to confirm reservations at restaurants which was odd and annoying. If we book a reservation we keep it. Suggest the resort devote more manpower to training staff, service efforts, and property maintenance than reservation confirmations by multiple people.

This resort was amazing! The grounds were beautiful and so well kept. The rooms in Building 5 were so spacious and very clean. We spent most of our time on the beach and had beautiful sunny weather everyday! Jason was awesome! He took such great care of us on the beach! He was always asking what we needed, helped with our chairs was so friendly to talk with. Thank you Jason for making our stay so enjoyable! We will be back!

We had a great time at the resort at longboat key. The beach is beautiful and a great place to bring families. All in all great trip, and shout out to the great staff. Jason was a huge help and a pleasure to work with, he helped us get set up at the beach every day. Highly recommended - if you’re considering a trip with a family this is a good spot.

We had a great trip! All the staff were kind and attentive - Jason is the absolute best! We can’t wait to come back! Rooms and beach are beautiful, service and food was excellent, and overall a great time. Great for families, especially beach and pool. Highly recommend!
